I can relate to this poem Frequent Flier.

Why ? because ive been there also. It wasnt a fantasy, it was real and wonderful while it lasted.

If the divine made anything better then sharing  real love between 2 adults, i believe he kept it for himself !

Thanks for the memories.

This one ive been trying to perfect a long ole time now.

Richard Thompson-- Bees Wing . He is such a great guitar player.

Nanci Griffith.. Across the great divde.

Mark Knopler.. I dug up a diamond... This one is fine and easy enough. { On acoustic i mean !

I think im to hard on myself at this age lol I try enjoying the journey though.

I cannot watch these  programmes anymore,

I get to scared for the contestants as the wait for the "Judges" comments..

I was at a party recently here in Dublin. I heard  fantastic singers, some even better  then some of these people on tv,
and not a one  of any age wishing to be famous. They  Sing and play for the love of entertainment. These shows i feel are about Money/ power/ and greed.
After watching "Susan Boyle" here on Xfactor was enough for me.. Americans apparently love her as i do.
But her vunerability pains me somehow.

I believe this is certainly one of your best songs so far sir..

Stay as Cool as you are sir.. your doing great..

Your right Jets 60,

I wanna just evaporate like "Angels Share !

Angels' share is a term for the portion (share) of a wine or distilled spirit's volume that is lost to evaporation during aging in oak barrels.
Maybe as i eventually pop my clogs, ill be lucky enough to fall into one... What a way to start a wake lol

Thank you jets, I dont feel old either sir..

Hi Wilbaye,

I used to sing this song so long ago now.. It was always only with a certain group  of people who appeared to understand  the lyrics somewhat more then others ?..

Some never  understand the magic of the written word like this.. Its beyond magnificence.

Poems or songs ? who cares whether  great  written works have music or not.. But! these musicians certainly do this piece justice.

Thanks for sharing. Its a good note to retire on.

I'm currently reading the Shardlake novels by CJ Samson. They are murder mysteries set in the reign of Henry VIII. The fisrt one is called Dissolution. Followed by Dark Fire and Sovreign. If you like whodunits and a bit of history this  will appeal.

As to all time favorite - impossible to tell but I do like to read HitchHikers Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams and its sequels. they improve with time

Hello Sir,

I have a  Signed first edition book by Eóin Colfer for you as promised.. Hitch Hikers guide to the Galaxy. Can you email me your address

Hi lena,

Missed this when it went up. I've been in the Brazen head - years ago - for some reason I don't remember much about it !

We had a quiet St Pats, just dinner ( Champ (mashed spuds, scallions, butter and milk ), bacon ribs ( cured pork ribs boiled for three hours ) and cabbage ( boiled in the rib liguor) ), and beer and whiskey.

Belfast can get a bit crazy on St Pats - too many drunken under age kids.

CHAMP ! lOVE THE STUFF STRANSONGS.  it has to have the good ole real butter floating in the middle.

And yes ! Dublin has all that uncouth behaviour also. I cannot ever remember behaving like this anytime in my life.
No drink, no drugs, i just lived life and had a ball.
Between head shops now and booze ? heaven preserve us all.

Im glad you and  all had a good time.

Hi Stransongs,

2 completely different sounds there. You have a soft voice godbless you.

Nobody but Nobody" guitar immediately reminded me of the planxty sound years ago. Donal Lunny came to mind.

Your lyrics are so good either way. Thanks for sharing your songs and poems.

Aahhh, Daddycool,
This strikes a chord with me. After i married i never heard those 3 little words ? I never knew why, although i asked ofton enough.
He was to busy telling someone else i guess lol lol.
I on the other hand tell my kids everyday " I love them" and they tell me also. So alls good in my world.
