A guitar that pees on the carpet and chews on the furniture, wonder how long it takes to house train em?

My capo (Kyser) made for a 6 string won't work on my 12er, I purchased a Kyser made for a 12er and it works fine. The only difference between the them, that I can see, is the rubber is thicker, shaped differently and made with a softer compound.

I don't wish to make light of what you guys are going through. It used to be said "better living through chemistry", but with all the side effects one has to wonder ???  Because of my wifes illness I've had to learn more about drugs and their side effects than I ever wanted to know.

Thanks for the tip Zurf. I've tried finger picks and just could'nt get a feel for/with them.

TF, I think we had a thread going a while back about glueing artificial nails on. Amy would be able to give advice on how to.

Finally had a nice mild day yesterday, the snow is all melted and the sun was out. It gave me time to repair the heat pump from damage that occured when the entire roof full of snow and ice fell and caved in the top. Maybe spring weather is about to arrive. Today looks like it will be sunny and mild. I really need a break from winter weather.

Started snowing again last night, 6 inches and still falling at 25deg. Snow plows finally made their way out to us yesterday.  Local weather says its supposed to be rain, wonder if they could send someone to shovel the "rain" off my side-walk? At least the snow held off long enough for "ups" to deliver my new guitar parts yesterday.

Made it through the last snow, only got about 10 inches, but won't be getting down the mountain for at least a week. More snow is coming - hoping it won't amount to much. It's supposed to get very cold for the next few days. The deer are getting settled in behind the house trying to stay comfortable, I was watching them as I washed the breakfast dishes.

Snowing up here on the ridge already, with up to a foot of snow predicted from this storm. All the usual preparations have been taken in case of power outages, sometimes it takes a week or more for the power company to make it out to us. I love living in the mountains.

Glad you both are home and and Ok.  Keep a close watch on the new meds and remember to take care of yourself too.

Hi ya Bill, sometimes I get that mesage too. I just figure that the site is being worked on. I just wait and try again later, and while I'm waiting I play guitar for a while and all is right with the world.

I've got it too. This has occurred before and usually along with it, the songs are in blue print. Seems to show up when work is being done on the site.

Knowing that I need something else to keep me occupied, my wife bought me a double-neck guitar kit to build. Does that count as one or two guitars? Presently I have two guitars, a banjo and a mountain dulcimer.

unclejoe, I lived in Pennsylvania most of my life so I know how cold and hard winter can be in your area. The only thing I miss is fishing in the beautiful Susquehanna river.

It's been a mild winter so far on the mountain - this morning its 17 deg.(F). Got the wood stove burning to keep the electric bill down.

I have a difficult time remembering lyrics and music, most of the time I don't even know what day it is.  I've seen the pros use teleprompters set up where the audience could'nt see them. There's no shame in using the tools that are available.
