The worst guitar i've owned is an Ibanez Ak95 Hollowbody. It had an awful tone that i could do anything with. Then just before i sold it some of the beautiful abalone detailing that caused me to buy it to begin with started coming off. Then of course i had to repair it so i could sell it. I'm glad to be rid of it. The thing that still gets me is i turned down some really good guitars in order to get that one. Researching your instrument and playing it first really pays off. I'll never buy for looks again.

Nice work Phil. There is alot in there so many people from the city will never understand never knowing the peace of the country side at night.

Well thanks Southpaw. big_smile
And a big thanks to you to Pix check your email. big_smile

Hey Southpaw if you want it and will get more from it other than an experimental design thing like me it's all yours. If not Pix i'll get you an email shortly. - dfoskey

hey pix if a lefty that needs it  doesn't take it it could be used on a right handed guitar just on the top. It would give the sound hole a yin yang look smile  I'll take it if a lefty doesn't speak for it.

I've owned it for a year now and for me it's a really good amp. The chorus and reverb sound good on it. I haven't used a mic through it though but i'm sure it would do okay. The only negative thing about it is it has a little hum to it when you turn the chorus on but it's not loud enough to hear while playing. I'll say it's worth the money.

I recommend the Elixers or Ernie Ball strings. Coated if you like a warm tone or noncoated for that bright sound. Stay with a light 12-54 for the best sound. These are the best strings for my dollar at $10-15 a set and they last twice as long as many of the other brands.

You want to be sure your posture is good so you contact on all of the strings for each chord. Sometimes putting a little bounce in your fretting hand  while strumming adds a little spunk in the rythym also. Practice as others has mentioned will pay off sooner than you think.

The shadow doubleplay looks really good if you want a duel pickup system with built in blend controls. I wouldn't go with any sound hole mounted pick up because they tend to pick up alot of body sounds as in taps and bumps that hinder the resonance of the strings.
By the way welcome to chordie.:)

I play mostly contemporary christian music and i hope some of you do. What would be the best set list for 2 hours of praise and worship?

I think we all tend to go the G chord because it is so easy to play. I agree with Roger about the capo. It is one of those tools most guitarist can't live without or well i can't. smile

Hey Micky have you tried the Talman series from Ibanez? They have an electric size and set up but are fully hollow like an acoustic. The sound is kind of thin unplugged but when plugged in it does pretty well. Also in the same style is the Fender acoustisonic that does quite nicely. They are worth a look.

I usually have peas, okra, yellow squash, cucumber, cabbage, potatos, and some sort of watermelon or canteloupe.
This year will be the same but adding carrots and maybe butterbeans. I guess you could say the basic southern variety.

To really impress your friends you should write your own song and play it for them because anyone that can play can copy someone elses stuff. Make it a song about them and it will be a hit.

This looks like it is maybe meant for bluegrass or a great country tune. Good job Jerome I'd like to hear it. You know some of the best songs ever are simple tunes.

Pix i don't know if it's a laminate or not. It sure looks like the real thing and it responds just like the solid if it is. Does a laminates colors darken also with age? The jasmine has changed from a light natural to a light pumkin color. Either way i've tried alot of high end and middle guitars and have found that my jasmine with a few upgrades plays and sounds as good as most of them. Its all about sound and playability anyways right. As far as giving up on the 334 it's not going to happen. It should rippen up in a couple of months.
See ya round the forums. - dfoskey/twang

Aw man you found me out!! lol

I think i'm going to give it a try as soon as i can get it ordered. You know that ole jasmine has a better natural tone than the new Tak eg334 that i have does. If i can amp it and keep that same tone i'll sell the eg334. It's still too bright. Thanks Pix for answering. - twang/dfoskey

Does anyone have any experience with this double pickup for acoustics? I'm looking to upgrade a begginer level acoustic (my first) it has a great aged tone and i want to go all out with it but not spend too much doing it.
