No snow yet in Central NY ... tho it's chilly for sure!  I hear from the hunters that the deer were VERY late to go into rut this year... which likely means a very mild winter for us this year... or at least, a late start to winter.  That's ok... I wouldn't mind only 2 months of it instead of the 4-5 we usually get!

AMEN SISTER AMEN!!!!!  After the last two winters here, I need a serious break.

No snow yet in the wilds of Western Maine in the foothills of the Mountains of Madness.  Though Mt. Washington has a white gleam in the distance, but then again they get snow every month of the year up there!

Are there chordians who "can do" the Moonwalk?

Yes, I can, when I was studying Mime long ago, it was one of the first things I learned and can actually still do.  It's not that hard actually.

Try looking up tunes by Buffy Sainte-Marie, she is a Native American singer of folk and other style tunes.   There are four of her tunes in the artists section, look under S.

"Swamp Witch" by Jim Stafford is drop D tuning.  And there are a few tunes by CS&N that use it as well.  "Daylight again" being one if memory serves me correctly.   Stephen Still seems to use it the most in his playing, unless my ears deceive me.

I always say something along the lines of: "well, I could be spending this money at a bar; guitars keep me home and relatively healthy". I must admit, while I have 12 or so guitars my approach is not 100% effective especially on the more expensive models

I'll have to remember that approach!  <grin>

I don't know, but it's got to be better than in Maine.  Speaking of which, Hey, Southpaw, we'll be in your neck of the woods 12/26 thru 1/2/10.....whats your gig plans?  Email me when you know!

We'll be setting our clocks back at the end of the month also.  They should just leave the time alone.

I keep hoping they will.  But, it is a futile wish.

I had a mug that had the caption, "Morning people are hard to love",  but, that was before I met my wife who routinely arises between 5-6am to do her exercises and such.  <ZOINKS>
