Hi Kenny,

Lovely song and who knows, she may be waiting for you round the corner or with the trolly in front of you at the supermarket, and when you do meet her you will have the perfect song for her. Thank you.

Roger

PS any chance of the icing on the cake, ie a recording, yet.

Hi Marcalan,

A great song from you and Helena, a partnership that works very well. Thank you I enjoyed it and you should put it up on OurStage.

Hi Papa,

Thanks for the comment. As school kids Colin and I fought like cats and dogs, but that was a long time ago now and as we got older we gained more sense. I moved to Portugal  from the UK three and a half years ago as I was getting more and more disenchanted with the place.

Thanks too Ark,

When Colin first started I was the clown of the team for maybe a year. You know the one who always gets in the way, gets knocked down, run over and breaks ramp supports so I had to lie under it to hold it up while they rode their motobikes over it. As the show developed he found that this role was no longer needed. These days if I end up in the ring it is usually to douse things with petrol and ignite it.

Hi James,

I am told that yodelling is not easy unless you are able to sing falsetto. However, if all else fails, I am also told that there is an operation to remove two small parts of your anatomy that can help you get to this higher pitch to be able to yodel lol.

Hi bwriter and welcome to Chordie,

You may not realise it but no songs (except original songs in the Songwriters section) are hosted here. Chordie is a search engine and finds chords and tabs that are already out there.

As you have noticed the facility is there for you to correct any that you find are wrong and if you do so there will be a note at the bottom acknowledging the fact that you have done so.

Hi Helena and thank you,

Our Mum (86 next month) has never been to see him perform live so I do not think she will start now. I, on the other hand, have gone as often as I can, although I have usually ended up assisting inside the ring. I sent him the link to this page last night so he will find it and hear it in due course.

Hi Kenny, Yes the guy with the big grin is he and he is still the official stunt trainer for EuroDisney.

Hi Daddycool,

What's this, two songs about dreaming!!! Make sure the boss does not hear or he might think you are dreaming instead of working lol.

That being said, what would we do without our day-dreams. Good song, thank you.

Thanks Kenny,

The tunnel of fire shown just after The World's Most Amazing Videos flash was a world record in the 70's. Unfortunatley several people lost their lives trying to beat it and the Guiness Book of Records deemed it was too dangerous and so will no longer recognise it.

By the way, don't blink or you'll miss it, but the guy in the white T shirt at the end of the tunnel that runs after him is yours truly.

My brother Colin, or James Dylan as he is known owns and runs Stunt World and does have other drivers/riders that perform with him, one of them, Tony Fixter, has been with him since he started.

Hi Mal and welcome from me too,

Reading this I have just realised that you may possibly mean the chords in the Chord Chart. If this is so please point out which are wrong.

My younger brother sent me a link to his promo video on YouTube at the weekend. I got thinking and came up with this, again a change from my usual style but hopefully more in keeping with his lifestyle.

Hi klbolton,

I am a little confused here as you must have used your password to log in to be able to post this message.

However as you only registered a month ago have you not saved the original e-mail with you password on, but of course if you changed it and have forgoten what you changed it to that is no help. Following the 'Forgotten Password' link in Resources should take you to a page where you are asked to enter your e-mail address and a new password is sent to you.

If all else fails please e-mail me at roger4songs@yahoo.co.uk.

Helena you want to try driving here in Portugal they are by far the worst drivers in the world. No indicators ever used, no lane disiplne, using roundabouts as car parks, I have even seen people go the wrong way round a roundabout and another stop and reverse because he had missed his exit. Total madness.

As a little aside to Europeans and Americans who drive on the wrong side of the road lol. There is a reason that we drive on the left side of the road, the majority of people are right handed and when we rode horses and carried a sword it was easier to defend yourself if attacked as you passed.

Hi Ark,

I almost put a feather in my hair and had to resist the urge to go get a few scalps listening to this piece. You certailny have captured the feel and emotion that I also remember from watching westerns at the cinema and on TV.

Great number this Phill. It reminded me that I used to be terrified of steam trains as a young child (big wimp lol) and sitting in a tin bath in front of a coal fire.

Thanks for the memory,

Roger

PS Glad you are getting the hang of the formatting.

Hi Sharon and welcome to Chordie from me too.

Further to KAP54's excellent advice it is a good idea to find some way of recording your playing. Every so often record and save so when you get to the stage where you think you are not improving, as most of get to at some time or other, you can listen to your earlier work and hear the difference.

Hi Anastasia,

I agree with Henryb, if you tinker with it they have every right to put the blame back on to you. You should take it back to them immediately or if you cannot get back for a day or two phone them and let them know the problem and when you will be taking it in.

I would have thought any store wanting to keep it's good reputataion would either fix it immediately for you or alternatively loan you a replacement whilst the remedial work is completed so I suggest you ask if they offer either service.

Hi,

As Helena (an awsome poet herself) has alrerady said this is a very deep piece and, as James McCormic suggested for someone else's poem, it could probably work well spoken over background music that had the emotional feel of the piece.

Hi Mark,

I have not heard that song before but I really enjoyed it too. Your peformance too was up to your usual high standard. I shall certainly be listening to it again and maybe asking you to send me the lyrics and chords.

The song that has me in a flap at the moment is our very own Phill Williams' "The Broken Doll", I cannot stop singing it.

Roger

PS I left a similar comment on YouTube for you.

Hello to both of you and welcome to Chordie,

Sooner than suggesting individual songs to you why not got the Public Songbooks and click on the Absolute Beginners. There you find a host of songs that are relatively easy to play and you can then search for ones that you know and like.
