no - I just listened to them from your links though - pretty cool songs I had never heard before.  I was just sitting around and had heard a line from country song about cowgirls and it just kinda popped in to my head.   I wrote a few lines - forgot about it -  then waited about three weeks and accidentally came across what I had written and started playing some chord progressions - and it just kinda flowed from there. Thanks for checking it out though.

I rewrote a bit of this and changed the last verse-  hope you like it.  Someone asked about hearing it - I don't have a website and I am not a good enough singer to YOU Tube it. smile

[ D ]It was Saturday night about  9 o’clock
[ G ]There were lights ‘n sirens on our block
[ A ]Cussin’ and screaming  filled the air
[ D ]It always  ends up  a family affair

There was pushing and shoving and calling names
everybody looking for someone to blame
there’s  nobody  gonna  win   this fight
cuz’ everybody’s wrong , if no one’s right

Chorus
[ A ] Every weekend’s it’s the same ‘ol thing
[ G ] Over and over  ,  a familiar ring
[ A ] ain’t  nothing  easy, nothing good
[ D ] Nothin’ changes in this neighborhood

[ D ]  [ G ]  [ A ]  [ D ]

Oh I’m staying clear and out of view
Don’t need no action in this hullabaloo
I really can’t say just what they did
Just  damn glad it’s not my  kid !

Somebody’s handcuffed in the back seat
I see’em   now going  down the street
Mama’s yelling   it’s gonna be alright
It’s just another wild  Saturday night !

Chorus
[ A ] Every weekend’s it’s the same ‘ol thing
[ G ] Over and over  ,  a familiar ring
[ A ] ain’t nothing is easy, nothing good
[ D ] Nothin’ changes in this neighborhood

I didn't write for it, but the lyrics seem to possibly apply to  Brett Favre talking to his wife after the latest episode with Jenn Sterger ( J.E.T.S. !)

I have been working on the song that I posted last week - re arranged the lyrics and added (at least what I think is ) a pretty cool intro to the song.   I wish I could sing ( i am really bad) ... but I just love how the music fits.  I am hoping that some of you good guitarists with nice voices can appreciate it.  I am just a beginner at guitar but have always been a songwriter since my college days.  I love the irony of this song b/c   the chords are flavored with minors and it is about the " minor man" . Hope you like it. If you have any suggestions to improve it - i am always open to them.  Loving learning how to play and love this chordie.com - it is the best !

Thanks to Mekidsmom and Arkady  for their assistance in getting me to post this the right way!
( and I do  hope I have it right this time!)
