hi pressure drop dont give up. i,ve been trying for 14 months,learning myself,first chords and simple songs. chordie is a big help. and practice is key...just started barrre chords. finding it harder than i axpected, but i,m not quitting. keep at it badeye.

hey j r 74 i too thought of getting lessons but just started learning my self and with some help from two friends who play very well.at first it was hard but over time and practice everyday its coming along nicley.i had problem with picks so i made my own out of an ice cream container top. made it bigger than a normal pick so i could get use to holding it.now i can use a pick. also had days where thats all i did play guitar.i thank my wife for putting up with some not so good sounds at first now she asks all the time to play for her.just starting barre chords.good luck.practise is key. badeye.

iv"e been learning myself too.i have a couple friends who are accomplished players. we jam once a month and i watch and learn from them. they say iv"e improved in the last month or so. its encouraging to here. practice is the key.seems like this guitar has consumed my life.im good as long as i don"t drive my wife mad. lol lol. have a good day chordies badeye

yes ive seen the video at montreau awesome also video of stevie at austin city in texas he was truly a guitar slinger. on one of the videos there is a section of the fender guitar factory as they show how fenders electrics are made while stevie plays his signicture fender strat.another guitar slinger is john cambelljohn from the east coast of canada. hey gotta go to work have a good one , badeye

hi all. i have some videos of steve ray vaughn "live at the elmocombo" in toronto around 1980.his solos will make the hair on the back of your neck stand straight up.its awesome. also have sonny terry and brownie maghee on tape at the 1970 montreal jazz fest. maghee could play wicked guitar solos.jeff healy is another one who plays awesome solos. he plays the guitar on his lap and is blind.incredabley gifted. oh to roger guppy was shoveling snow yesterday and the ditty of "hot monkey love" came into my head and i sang it while working away lol have a good day all badeye

hey how is everyone? got any old guitars hanging around that never get played? i"ve got an old hohner 12 string that i bought at a flea market for just 10 dollars canadian,also a 1938 mandolin made in Czechoslovakia.and an old simmpsons sears campfire guitar that i found at a landfill while dumping brush.its got a picture of three guitsr players and an old dog at a campfire on it. it works but just sit in a corner.to all chordies have a great day badeye.

hey,ever heard of bands from the east coast of canada. like the battery or sam moon and the universal power or my fav the matt minglewood band great original misic and great showmanship.rock and blues. minglewood has about 10 albums out starting in 1971.i used to follow them around cape breton island when they played in bars and areanas. we always had a great time because the mucic made you feel good. of course my big fav is led zepplin and the bandwith levon helm and robbie robertson great music. chordie is great and i learned to play guitar on chordie. improving all the time. practice is the key.stay well and keep rockin thanks badeye
