for sure.i've started a small acoustic collection.my fav is my fender acoustic,love the way it plays and the sound.

  Anyone else have an acoustic collection? In mine is a Fender DG8 flat top acoustic,A Hohner 12 string,A Simpson Sears Campfire guitar,A Vantage six string,just picked up a beat up Martin that needs work.

Your right alvee.It does pay to shop around.you get to play lots of guitars and you can get better prices.I look to flea markets and yard sales all the time for guitars.Hope the little lady dosent stop me for the sake of room. lol...Badeye.

yes watched J.P. and Stompin Tom at acadia university in Wolfville, N,S. Also a few time in Glace Bay,C.B. at a local bar. I,ts amazing to watch his master guitar playing.well worth the price of admission.Go see him if he comes around. have a good one...Badeye.

hey whiskie ridge,i've seen your bro J.P. perform six or seven times here in the maritimes.very good indeed.he is very talented and can play more than just guitar.well worth to go see him perform if he ever comes to a town near you.he toured with stompin tom conners a few years back which they both put in a great show.     ..cheers from the east coast of canada... badeye.

hey sparra i too had similar problems. i got a top of an ice cream contianer and cut out a pick double the size of a pick.then i sanded it down to be thin on one end.this way i could get a better grip and not drop it every third or fourth strum. i used it for about a week then back to a regular pick and now i dont have that problem. i know a bit unorthadox but it worked for me. good luck hope this helps...badeye.

yeap i'm into blues music as well. i"ve collected blues albums and c d,s for over 20 years.my favorite blues artist has to be sonny terry and browmie maghee.also like charlie musslewhite who plays great harmonica blues.b.b.king,lightnin hopkins,dutchie mason,downchild blues band,powder blues,,way to many to mention.ij j.p. cormier ever comes to your town go see him,he will not dissapoint.         have a good one..     badeye.

j.p.cormer is awesome.from cape breton island.he plays a number of instruments.and very well.watched him live a number of times.puts on a real good show.also from the cape is john cambelljohn who plays blues guitar.or matt minglewood who never dissapoints on stage.    cheers fromm the east coast of canada   badeye

45 isn't old.i started at 47.Can't get enough.learning more all the time.even started a guitar collection.your never to old to start something.my advantage was quitting smoking cigerettes.i needed something to do and what better thing than to learn guitar.chordie is a great site.with lots of tips you can use along the way.dont give up it gets better. i know. ha ha  badeye
