Cheers easy beat. I just never liked the lyrics I wrote to it so it will just stay a bouncy little tune.

Thanks Peatle Jville. Glad you liked it. I hate globalism it pushes us all father apart and encloses us in one big prison with no bars. Where will it end?

Thanks Tenement Funster. My sister suffers from bi polar. I think they are trying to ware us down and have be doing a pretty good job of it. But things are on the change.

"Our thoughts need to be constantly focused on what is true, good, precious, and important."

I totally agree.

Glad you like it Peatle Jville. I've always tried to go along with everything but it never felt right. These days I live a mostly simple life. I even make my own medicine from wild plants. My dream would be to be totally self sufficient.

Cheers Peatle Jville, me and the girl have been back together now for the last 10 years. As for jail I never want to go back.

I wrote this song along time ago. It's a bit depressing
found it on old harddrive. So thought I'd post it.

I can’t feel the sunshine anymore.
Intro
G Bm7 C G

Verse 1
G                                   Bm7
I walk alone, down a dark and lonely street,
C                                                G
I can’t feel the sunshine anymore,
G                                           Bm7
The pouring rain, dancing all around my feet,
C                                                 G
I can’t feel the sunshine anymore,
Em
These darkened days,
Bm7
Have got me in a haze,
        C          Em7                        Am            Am7
And I can’t find my way back home,

Verse 2
G                                     Bm7
I see deceit, in all the people that I meet,
C                                                G
I can’t feel the sunshine anymore,
G                                         Bm7
Everything I love, keeps falling away from me,
C                                                G
I can’t feel the sunshine anymore,
Em
These darkened day,
Bm7
Have got me in a haze,
         C         Em7                         Am            Am7

In the air that I breathe,
F                             E
It makes me feel whole

To you I’m just a commodity,
Amadd11/F#                                         Cmaj7/E
To be used and abused until the day I die,

Great song Grah1 You cant beat a good protest song . I would say the lunatics are the people in the shadows that control the politicians.  Its a crazy world we live in.

I probably went to bed with it on my mind. I usually go to the reactment at battle abbey and pay my respects where king harold suppose to have died, but this year I couldn't make it.
As for most English  I probably did have ancestors at both battles stanford bridge and hastings. I did trace my mum's family back to the 14 century in Tonbridge and the area. I also had my dna done which came back 89% northern European and the rest being east European ,southern european and basque. My haplogroups are I1 from my father and HV9a from my mother.  Thank you for your post.
Can'tware rice invicta!  Meaning : Kingdom of Kent undefeated.

Cheers Phil, I never thought of it as a poem. I tried to replicate the sound as I heard it in my dream. As we all know the battle of hastings was on the 14 0ctober 1066,if I can say a sad day for England.  I wrote this song on the morning of the 14 October 2017.

keepitreal No problem I was just interested how someone else would interpret  the song that's all. The F is on the end of the verse to lead into the chorus I liked the way it sounded. I'll put up a rough version so you can hear what I mean. As for bad experiences They come and go,Life is pretty good at the moment. Thanks for posting.
