The weather has been nice, great for hanging out in the yards and relaxing. All my berry patches are growing with a few ripening early, tomato plants are doing well. I've got a couple tomato plants growing from seeds that my neighbor has kept going for 25 years. The cows got out but did no harm other than depositing fertilizer in the yard.

On the subject of Windows 7 I am experiencing a "Black Screen of Death" on boot it lasts sometimes for over a minute any ideas you pc gurus?
My Dell N5050 is about 2 years old any advise would be appreciated smile

My wifes laptop experienced the "Black Screen of Death" a few weeks ago and after spending a few hundred dollars for repairs the ungrateful thing went "black" permanetly, so for a few more hundred dollars she now has a new computer. I know nothing about computers and thats not likely to change, if I can't fix it with a wrench, screwdriver and bigger hammer I'm out of luck.

Excellent and inspiring, yes, you can be a proud parent. I've never played a uke, but that may change.

A dollar shy of 11 grand, can it possibly sound that good? I sure would love to have a go at it to find out!

I persribe to the bigger hammer theory - if it does'nt work, hit it with a bigger hammer and go buy another one, works every time.

keepitreal,  guitars are built to handle the stress/tension of standard tuning so it shouldn't be a problem. I noodle around with alternate tuning but always retune to standard when I'm finished for the day.

T F, I've used Elixers for many years and like you I replace one string at a time.

pick the one that "sings" to you. forget about the name/brand-it's just a name. I'm glad my wife didn't pick me for my name.

So sorry Pete. I lost my mom to alzheimers. I worked at the nursing home she was in for the last year of her life and was fortunate enough to be able to be of some help to other sons, daughters, wives and husbands during a hard time in their lives.

Thats is some great camo! I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of our spring house guest, a screech owl, who spends a few weeks living under my back porch deck.

Hi harveyw, new strings need a little time to stretch out, when I put new strings on I give them a few good stretches as I tune up. Even then it takes a couple days to work in. Don't go all swartzeneger on em when your stretching them, I've broken a few that way.
