Beauty - Roger should have a 12 string wherever he goes. If you and Paul both make it to a chordiestock, I'll have to purchase a 2nd!

Beautiful mountains, great bars, wonderful food and drink and fantastic hosts. This is starting off to be a great weekend!!

^ Wayne - I would have hoped that with this much notice schedules could be rearranged, but if that's not possible, I certainly want to accommodate you. If you can make the following weekend (3/24 - 3/27) and no one here raises objections, I can certainly change it.

You are one of the few who have made it to all three events - I sure would like for you to be able to keep the streak going! (and we'd all miss the hell out of Lizzy if you couldn't make it).

I said I know it's only sausage roll but I like it

September is here -  that means it's only 6 more months to Chordiestock IV. For me, 6 months seems like a long time away to plan a vacation, but for those across the pond or with other obligations, the time may be necessary.

Every single chordiestock has been better than last and I expect the coming year will be no different. The event will be held at my home in Madeira Beach, FL - the same place as last year. Music will be played for at least 18 hours each day. Food, adult beverages, story telling and laughs will be abundant.

I can put up 6 or 8 folks inside plus another 4 or so in a tent if you don't mind camping in the backyard. May have a camper available in the driveway this year as well. There are plenty of hotels and campsites nearby.

Those who have been here can attest to the great time and most make it back. I look forward to this weekend all year!

I'll get around to making a facebook event page eventually, but for now I just wanted to announce the date for those folks who need the time to plan a trip! (I hope Roger and Paul can make a return trip!)

Here's a link to last years thread that should answer most questions and has a bunch of pics.

Joe - I'm heading to see Wayne in SD the middle of Sept, so I'm going to have to pass on Vegas this time around. Limited vacation time and travel funds - you understand. I'd still love to make the trip in the future though and would think with some planning time, you could attract a big crowd - I mean, who doesn't want to go to Vegas?!

Chordiestock IV will be the weekend of 3/18 - 3/20/16 - please put it on your calendar, would love to have ya!

*  The Jameis Winston Marcus Mariota Flying Circus.  Neither team is going to be any good, but Mariota will be a better NFL QB if his offensive line doesn't get him killed, ala Jake Locker.  Winston is a head case, and will either be Jeff George or Ryan Leaf, depending on if he has his impulse control problems solved or not.

I live in the Tampa Bay area and have been hearing about Jameis non-stop for over a year now. While I agree, he did some bone-headed things in college and I was extremely skeptical about drafting him, since he has become a buc, he has said and done everything that could be asked. All reports and early training camp buzz has been extremely positive. He is an incredible athlete, a gym rat and great student. He is a natural leader and exudes charisma. While 1 stupid move could wipe out all of the positives, so far, so good. Tampa has great receivers, but the running game and O Line are suspect. That said, he is under the tutelage of Derrick Brooks - a legendary Buc and FSU alumni and a well respected member of the community. He couldn't be in better hands. I and many in the area are excited about his potential.

WOW - You lucky SOB!! Congrats UJB.

I saw Willie Nelson a few years ago and the sense of viewing an American Music Legend overwhelmed me for a minute or 2 and some dust must have gotten in my eyes. He's getting up there in age, but still plays and sounds great. I put him in the league of Elvis, Sinatra, Ray Charles - I was very happy to witness this Icon (and from about 20 feet away!)

^That's what I call sound advice.

Yeah, but I only do that to entice all chordians to come to chordiestock in March where I am happy to put them up, feed them and make sure no one goes thirsty!

Welcome to chordie 'tails - you wont find a friendlier group than the folks who post here I assure you. Please chime in whenever it fancies you

I enjoyed that interview - thanks TF. Yes has always been one of my favorites. Seen them live many times, the last time just 2 or 3 years ago at a small venue in downtown St. Pete - I was no more than 15' away from the stage.

That's like asking "Do I need another drink?" -  99% of the time, the answer is YES!
