There is a reason Stevie Ray Vagn was obsessed with Hendrix.

Quotes like that just show how narrow minded people can be.

On another note I believe that paranormalguitar just likes to provoke people. He has shown us who he is, it's up to us to believe him. I believe that he is a smart kid who should learn to express himself in a more diplomatic way. We have all been young and brash, with time he will grow up.

Michel

I absolutely agree with you, paranormal guitar is SO narrow minded.
hmm confused? Yeah.

It's the UK's best selling music magazine, and you can get it wherever you live. There's great subscription deals, CD's and lots of  other great content. It's improved my playing!

So take a copy from somewhere, and if you like it, suscribe!

I'm going to send them a letter about CHORDIE, which I'm sure the moderators etc. will be happy about; keep them busy!

Tell me your thoughts, and if you want me to include anything in the letter.

I know there are some odd people out there, Hendrix was great. Infact, I've held one of his guitars, a Flying V that he played.
I know van Halen's great, but I still found that comment funny.

Yay, I missed the floods! I live quite high up in Cambridge, I'll be okay. big_smile The weather is classic English weather all the same, OH wait no it's not it's quite nice out! My sympathy is with anyone affevted by the floods though. I don't need cheering up today for some reason. I just noticed the bizzarre change in weather I'm off, see you! Good choice of songs anyway.

This is a quote in Guitarist magazine (wich I'd reccomend) I found about Eddie van Halen:
"A card sharp with a guitar. Quite interesting if you're into sleight of hand of that thing that street hustlers do with the three cups and a ball, but not very much to do with music."  lol
It's saying that some of the stuff he does is very difficult to play, but often sounds pretty pointless. (eg eruption). I shouldn't say that, as I get this van Halen newsletter thing. I do love some of their music
Another one I found about Jimi Hendrix, which is funny but not really true:
"Not really very good, actually, but dserves credit for inventing the now widespread technique of turning everything up so loud that you can't hear the mistakes."  hmm

Tell me what you think and if you know any other quootes! Also tell me if you know the band oasis' official website!

All the best,

Will

Great chords, sounding good. If I played this I would bring shame to my family, unfortunately. Keep writing anyways, and keep up the good work.

Hi there hopeful,

My name originates from the fact that I am training to be a  parapsychologist (paranormal), and I'm a guitarist (guitar). There you go.
Will you be my friend, I don't have any on Chordie. Is that even possible? Myeh never mind.
If you want, disregard me and/or annoy m I don't care.

Ahem! This is MY thread, if you want to have a conversation share emails! AND DON'T REPORT ME AGAIN I'M JUST MAKING A POINT!

Apparantely, you can fit your own killswitch on a Les Paul or anything similiar for about 50p if you do it yourself!

I'd play it like this:

Low E: 3, played with thumb. (Oh no you have to break a rule there! It's one of the only chords you can do it with)
A: muted with thumb
D: 0
G: 2
B: 3
e: 2

G'luck!

I'm glad nobody's said eruption, because most of that is pointless and can't be classified as music. I like Hog Bitch Stomp by Buckethead, among many oasis solo's as well.

Yeah I like that, good lyrics.
I wish I could write like that.

It's about a weird thing in my family...

My Nan gave birth to her two daughters the same days my aunt gave birth to her two sons.
Weird! Just think about it is just so bizzarre, what a strange coincidence. The odds are ROUGHLY 1 in 133,600.
Bet nobody's ever wrote about that before.
GGNNNN it's so ridiculous, it's just funny! It makes me feel special! I think God wanted this to happen and I thank Him it rocks!
Tell me if anything similiar happenned to you, and what youthink of my idea.

I just asked a question! I didn't ask about what colour genes you wear! I ment in your family, if your relatives are musical. You're quite odd, don't take that badly but you missinterpreted the question by miles.
Thanks for replying anyway, don't report me!

That's right you can put a Classical guitar pickup on guitars, they cost about 40 pounds. Then you do whatever it is to wire up the switch with the pickup, stick the switch somewhere on the guitar, plug into the amp and that's it! I don't know if it works but I'll try it!

No I'm afraid I can't help you I don't know a thing about it. Ask someone who's young and wise, not just young.  (Hi again David's son, THE THING I WROTE IS NOT FAKE!)

I love oasis too. If you use the exact strum patterns as portrayed in the official book, it's not so simple. But keep practicing and you'll get there. Rich coming from me.

Hi Stevey,

My favourite are probably oasis. Some people say they sound like carboard, but they have wrote in my opinion the best song ever: Wonderwall. And Noel Gallagher is one of my role models. Good idea for a topic.

That's sounds cool, I never thought of Christian music but it's a cool idea, seeming I am one. What I have done is learnt "The whole world in his hands", it sound great on guitar and slap bass. I hope to play in Church some day that would be great.

My Granddad has been in a few bands, he's played guitar, bass, harmonica, and some backing vocals. His ltest band were the Soho Leg-Ends. There are three Alan's in that band (weird!). Also my Great Uncle is Ron Geesin anyone ever heard of him? He's weird but worth finding out about.

I love playing old, scratched, battered, small old classical guitars! They're so comfy and light and fun and easy to play. I have one I'm lucky. Try and get hold of one people. Oh, and they sound so great when they're out of tune slightly. Or tuned down a tone. This is a good tip it's one of my guitar rituals. I like playing Peppermint Rag by Fabien Flight on it as fast as I can. Oh and Girls Girls Girls by Motley Crue also sounds great.
   Give it a try!
