If he can master an F chord and it's relatives, all other chords will be a piece of cake.  The B chords will fall into place nicely as well.  Mastering F chords will be a step towards also developing skill with barre chords.

True and be wary of some other sites.  When you try to print, you get four pages of nada/nothing.  Best to ask the admin's here.  I only google when I'm desperate for a song.

A minor spat between a former mod and a current mod.  Both have strong opinions and both have valid opinions................but, both let their emotions made them have a slap fight in the sandbox and it is a minor blip in the Chordie universe.  No Hell breaking loose, just childishness and emoness.

BUT... where is the best moonshine from?  I've had Kentucky moonshine, smuggled in the back seat of someone's car for a very long trip to NY ... ugh... one sip was enough to knock me over for a bit!  I'm scared to say that I wonder how safe it was to actually consume!

Back on topic... Considering the 2 hour school delay today due to snow/sleet/freezing rain and 40 mph winds here in NY (and expecting another day just like it tomorrow) ... I'd take a vacation anywhere warmer ... but after Christmas and my birthday ... I need to have snow on Christmas and my b.day!

We've had christmases in Florida several times, it is a bit strange, but the warmth and beach walking made me get over it pretty quickly.  <grin>

I agree to your terms!

May need to have two or three consultations, just to be sure.

After digging out of our recent storm X2, I have consulted with "Cream Sherry" twice and she has told me to chill out and get a good nights sleep to better handle the digging out tomorrow.

I can imagine...........................envisioning whirled peas.    <grin>

I've also done a lot of googling with songs that I can't find here, some obscure stuff like "Look into the Sun" by Jethro Tull and "Saturday Morning" by Tom Chapin.

Now that is a way to achieve world peace, if I ever heard one.  <GRIN>   I wonder what our guitar playing would sound like after that?  LOL

We enjoy going to Florida in December for a little break from Maine winter.  Plus, I got to meet Southpaw at his gig in an outdoor pub about a half mile from where we'll be staying.  Florida is good for a break, but, I prefer Mountains for my real respites.  We live near the White Mountains of NH/Maine and have had some nice vacations in the Rockie Mountain Area of Montana.  Carla and I spent a second honeymoon near Glacier National Park a few years ago.

The best christmas music is the classical style played on Acoustic Guitar.  Thats how I'm learning "Tannenbaum" aka "O Christmas Tree".

Just be careful, the selection volumes are huge.  How huge, you ask?  Some members have gone in and were not seen for weeks, even months.............and a few have never returned.

<grin>  LOL

Seriously, I still haven't explored all the Artists and Song Titles yet.   And if by chance, you can't find a tune..........go ahead and ask for it.  Somebody here will know where it can be found.

Peace

Dear Ms. Lena, that was a corker.

Reminds me of:

Stratplayer, I've been to Baltimore and I heard something about a nattybo.
Always wondered what a nattybo was.

Boys!

Everyone has a right to their opinions, lets not name call.  Thanksgiving started as a thanks for a bountiful harvest and a sharing of it.  Yeah... everyone has an opinion on the whole situation the native Americans were in after that (you don't want to hear my opinion)... but it still is what it is to Americans.  A day to give thanks for food on our plates and sharing it with friends/family.

As an American who's celebrated it my entire life, I'm curious to know that it's thought of as a day to give remembrance to what the Native Americans gave up... interesting approach Ken.  I don't know if a lot of Americans actually celebrate it in that fashion (the Native American's probably do)... but I have never heard of looking at it from that point of view.  In school, the kids learn about how kind the Natives were and how everyone shared.  They aren't taught about Thanksgiving from the view point of the war that followed.

I'm with her.................Topdown take a chill pill.  I get your point and I see Ken's as well.

Maybe it's time to lock this thread since mod's and former mod's can't keep their inner playground slap fight in check.

The two of you need to take it outside!  Nuff said!

No your not getting old or sentimental.  It should be a time to relax, enjoy the company of family and friends.  But it should also be a time to reflect on one's good fortune and the needs of those less fortunate.  Count your blessings so to speak.  I feel the same way about xmas and New Years.  Enjoy, relax, share, good food, good times, good drink, etc.

Peace

We never have a huge feast and we are not into HUGE family gatherings except for really special occasions.  I treat it and any holiday to chill out, relax, enjoy a good meal and still do stuff.  Like every thanksgiving we have the tradition of taking a hike in the many opportunities that abound in our neck of the woods.  It's quiet, peaceful and gives us a chance to enjoy our blessings.  We also make sure we share in quiet ways our own bounty with those less fortunate.  By supporting the local groups that help the hungry and homeless.  It enrages me to think that situations like that abound in our supposed "prosperous" society.
