Late 60ties: PEACE NO WAR all great things together.

IF WE PUT "WOODSTOCK" as the ultimate love & peace concert, I really wanted to know what happened.

WHAT DID CHANGE A WONDERFUL "CONCEPT, like WOODSTOCK?
1) THE MONEY? because even great, popular bands had troubles (a lot caused by neglecting and throwing money away. (See: AEROSMITH, a huge hit in the seventies, followed by some bad albums.)
2) There are a lot of "sharks" kissing your MUSCULUS GLUTEUS." and collecting the crumbs on the floor.
3) S, D & RnR, lifestyle killed many artists, but also THE IMPACT on the people.

WAS "THE TURNING POINT" ALTAMONT WITH THE ROLLING STONES. I remember me so well, Mick starting to talk to the people, and Keith continuing playing
OR AM I ALONE WITH THAT OR OTHER POINTS OF VIEW.

I had a huge car crash in September 2000 a saturday, so I survived.
WHY THIS STORY? Because it changed my life forever.
1) 90km/h "frontal" against a tree.
2) 32 fractures in 1 foot & ankle
3) broken back (1 vertebra was exploded in 4 pieces and 1 is pushing against my spinal chord).
4) 2x reanimated I died but didn't "pass away"
RESULT:
Such an impact I lost everything: job, medical doctor ("R & R life style) popularity, being proud. I started against advise but had to stop end 2004.
Since (only) a few months I started living again, disabled, but  very optimistic and by writing about it, in a poem, I feel much better BUT MY POEMS WILL ALWAYS HAVE A FEW INGREDIENTS: Nonsense, my feelings and of cars life and dead. I am able to laugh with my disability, and friends, all this since 9 years to today

Great fellow chordians. But UncleLeon, don't blame me but I am not familiar with SQUEEZING STRENGHT. Even playing 30 years, I learn every day.
One thing 's for sure, when you start having sore fingers STOP PLAYING!! It's when you are burned by the sun, next day people don't go back on the beach. THIS IS ONLY A TIP = LISTEN TO YOUR BODY LANGUAGE.
MOST IMPORTANT ARE:
- Strings
- PROBABLY a guitar. (= depends on construction, neck versus body)

Someone MUST have done the test:
THE AMP IS FOR YOUR TEST THE SAME AMP.
1) Take 10 different brands. (1 Fender, 1 Epi...TEN DIFFERENT BRANDS.
2) Protect the headstock, "avoiding "to see which guitar.
3) PLUG IN & PLAY.

I am certain that if (even more skilled players) don't score 10/10
I STILL HAVEN'T FOUND WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR, AND YOU TOO.

Do I really have an empty head?
Will it cause a dramatic dead?
Just because I got a guitar on my head
At least the echo was not bad

Did I think so much, killing the cells in my brain
Every note, B flat, E, each strophe and each refrain
These chords, these words, that music, passion all over again and again
I tried to be a loving man, spreading music and never the same

I see so many people crying, a fountain of tears
And the last thing I wanted is being confused with B Spears
I saw a white light coming towards me, and music entering my ears
Did I live well? Did I die well? Please relax and drink some beers

A lot of people write here or in other threads about sore fingers.
SO:
- Is there a difference in BRAND = a guitar problem
- Is it a string problem

Is it possible that "a guitar" causes this pain, like a non adjusted neck?

Stupid little number and yet very important, but why?
PI = 3,14159265
I still don't know what "impact pi has on our society.

Les Paul, your name shall never go, millions of people play your guitar

There seems to be a relation and a theory, (Fibonacci theory, I believe) used in music.
Did :
1) math ---> music or
2) music --> math?

Maybe a better title would be "creation of a band in function to....
OR: how to make a band, a PRE-FAB band.
- TV: THE MONKEES
- What about "THE ARCHIES"
And bands like TAKE THAT, or SPICE GIRLS where 1 person is "composing a band" see also BANANARAMA, for me the worst girlsband ever.
They can't keep rhythm, you can barely hear what they sing. If they should have song in different "tones" you would have a nice a cappela band, but BNRM = ZIP, NADA, NIENTE, NOTHING, NIETS.

They reached immortality with their 10.000.000 sold song IN THE YEAR 2525.
I discovered that ZAGER is a "master-luthier " since early 60ties.

Does ZAGER, and EVANS too still sing, or perform and writing songs?
Was that hit the only one?
I have to confess his guitars seems real good.

- Why is woodstock a milestone?
I THINK THAT WOODSTOCK 69 WAS
1) probably the BIGGEST GIG with the BIGGEST artists
2) very chaotic + how many people there did really listen to the music?(THANKS FOR THAT ALBUM)
3) I WISH I COULD GO TO A CONCERT LIKE THAT.

PLEASE WRITE YOUR OPINION and did some of you have been there?
QUESTION: Who were in fact the REAL HEADLINERS? JIMI? I believe that this was really the "start"

WATCHING THE MOVIE, I ALWAYS THINK is: WASN'T IT THE MOST DANGEROUS CONCERT EVER? NOT ONLY THE PUBLIC BUT ARTISTS PLAYING IN THE RAIN = VERY DANGEROUS OR NOT?

Being a quit big community, I wanted to see some songs from other countries.
VERY DIFFICULT? I believe that in the USA there is a lot of difference between East/West & North/East, but what style is typical for NON-USA countries?
- Ireland, Scotland, UK and
- Mainland Europe: France, Germany, Italy Are a big music market as well.

Who has more experience talking or writing about typical songs vs typical countries?

Hi GEO, if you know how to look on youtube, you really find amazing stuff and in fact it is not difficult to strip of all "extra's" and play BEAT IT (I believe it starts in E)

I know, I asked this earlier and the reason why this is:
1) HOW MANY OF YOU ARE ABLE TO START THINKING IN CHORDS or NOTES.
2) IF I ASK HOW MANY OF YOU CAN, as example, WRITE DOWN THE CHORDS OR NOTES OF A SONG LIKE "UNDER THE BRIDGE (Red Hot Chili peppers) without!!!!! an instrument.
3) SO YOU HEAR A SONG ON THE RADIO AND YOU ARE ABLE TO TELL THESE ARE THE CHORDS?

I play 30 years, I can't read notes, and yet I am not a bad player, but I am so jealous on people who have the courage to learn notes and read music.
DOES A GOOD KNOWLEDGE OF NOTES, CHORDS even TABS makes you a better player? OR IS IT EXPERIENCE?
I have 24/24 time, and every day I think: today I'm gonna learn TABS. Point is: I am GITAARDOCPHILLAZINESS.
AM I THE ONLY ONE?

Dear colluege Phil, I WISH I COULD DO IT YOUR WAY.
WHY?
- I know most of the chords, but to write a song I use my guitar.
See addendum

Which instrument is used most to write a song, even heavy metal or Techno songs are composed with or
1) A GUITAR?
2) A PIANO ?
3) INSIDE YOUR HEAD AND if you are good in writing music, you write that song OR sing it on tape recorder?

I know and even between USA versus other British countries like Australia UK Scotland Ireland...
I only wanted to know WHAT IS USUALLY THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A SONG.

Zurf my chordian brother, it is amazing to "exercise" disco.
I played I WILL SURVIVE, (Gloria Gaynor) or Hot Stuff (Donna Summer) and you can even will have a lot of fun to play an acoustic slow on The Village People's songs.
Also try to (based on the chords) to play the same songs IN ROCK style.
A strophe? I might have used the wrong term.
Intro --> XXX---> REFRAIN --> XXX

I believe that a good song MUST CATCH THE ATTENTION immediately.
So:
1) the intro
but then? STROPHE? REFRAIN?
2) HOW TO MAKE A REALLY GOOD SONG??

I really am happy IF I succeed to play a disco song acoustic, or a heavy metal acoustic.
It is so different and yet wespeak about the same song

It is about the fantastic and "classic songs" like BEAT IT and BILLY JEAN.
I was on youtube and I saw/heard these songs completely stripped and played 100% acoustic.
- 1) very touching.
- 2) really great
The first is by Chris Cornell: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROpEIFML … re=related
when you hear the beginning of the song it looks to 'nothing else matters'

Like PHIL wrote: every decade has great songs.
MY THEORY IS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE SPEAK ABOUT 60ties & 70ties BECAUSE MORE SPECIFIC: QUIT NEW AND UNSEEN + A MASS PRODUCTIVE PERIOD
First ELVIS & the Sun studio with Sam Phillips, launching the careers of Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, B.B. King, Howlin' Wolf, Rufus Thomas and numerous other significant artists.
Most people (sam included) that he should have been bigger then Elvis, THIS IS TRUE!!!, if there weren't his juridical or moral issues
