Generally, the Cowboys fans were good natured and friendly, and Seattle people are notoriously polite, so the flight was OK.  The guy in front of me really knew the game, so that was a good conversation.   I asked him if he was treated well at the Clink, and he said everyone was great, except for one guy, and the rest of the 12s told him to shut up and stop being a [expletive].

I'm still in Texas.  I fly back in the morning.

So guess what I did on Monday?  I got on an airplane and flew to Dallas.  Plane was full of Cowboys fans that were at the game.   It was a long flight...

So anyway, as I mentioned at the top of this page, the 'Hawks have problems with big physical recievers, and Dallas has an All World tight end, and Dez Bryant is good sized and as physical as they come.

I also don't know what has happened to their pass rush, either.  Going into the Dallas game, they had recorded only three sacks the entire season.

Ah well.  Can't win 'em all.  At least I don't have ebola.  (I think!)

In better news, the Huskies stomped all over Cal, so that makes me feel a little better, football wise.  And Mississippi State has knocked off three top 10 teams in a row, if anyone cares, and have leapfrogged Florida State for the #1 rank in some poles.

If Mixcraft can import a WAV, you can use whatever recording software makes you feel comfortable, because dang near every one will output a WAV.   Audacity and Reaper both use it as their native format.   Record what you want, send him the WAV, and tell him you did it in Mixcraft.

If Mixcraft won't import a WAV, I wouldn't use it, anyway.  smile

If the root isn't the root, it's an inversion.  smile

Yeah.  It's a legitimate bummer about RGIII.  That guy is as exciting a player as you could find when he isn't broken.  Check out the 2011 Alamo Bowl (Baylor vs UW Huskies) for what I was hoping for from him when he came into the league.  That should have been called the Michael Bay Bowl.  smile

Well Jerome, you called that one for sure..... but with the "Peoples'" record not much of a surprise.  But if the Hawks had lost..... Honor would have dictated that we all fall on our own pizza-cutters out of shame.

Hah!

I thought they played a good game, though.  The Seahawks have trouble with big receivers behind their linebackers ( a function of the zone-3 defense they play), and that is right where Cousins was going.

Dude is a wing and more importantly, the captain, for the Washington Capitals.    In addition to being his teams captain, he's also been league MVP.  This is his day job.

For a bit more laconic take on Bridges, "The Fabulous Baker Boys" is a great film with great music.   "Making Whoopie" has yet to be done better.

Crazy Heart is a fantastic film.   It has most of my favorite actors in it (Bridges, Colin Farrell, Robert Duval, and Maggie Gylinhal) and "The Weary Kind" is a fantastic song in it's own right.

The Huskies didn't play this weekend.   They have Cal next Saturday though, and that should be a good game.

However, I will say that categorically, this was the greatest college football weekend I have ever seen.   Upsets everywhere.

The Ducks got beat by Arizona.  That alone makes me happy.   But *4* (Four) 4!!!!! other top 10 teams got beat this weekend, too.  Lane Kiffen's incompetence was well on display as his Alabama offense managed 17 points against Ole Miss.    Oklahoma lost a close one against TCU.   Mississippi State outscored Texas A&M (no small feat) and UCLA lost to Utah.   BYU (18) got beat by unranked Utah State.  Which makes one wonder, what is up with Utah football teams these days?      Additionally. Coach Mediocre rose to his standard level of "meh" again as USC got beat by AZ State (what is up with Arizona teams, too?).   Wisconsin (17) lost to Northwestern.

It was awesome.   It almost makes me miss the BCS, just because this is the kind of weekend that would cause their computer to melt down, the media to break out in tears (and probably declare VA Tech #1) and have *everyone* crying about who the #2 team is.   It is the kind of weekend that screams for an 8 team playoff.

Seahawks vs Potomac Drainage Basin Indigenous Peoples  tonight.   I do not see it ending well for the Peoples, but they have some strengths they can use where the 'Hawks are weak.  And it is the NFL, so nothing is guaranteed.

Seahawks on a bye (isn't early for the bye week?)   Lots of close ones out there in college land, though.  Florida State escaped with one.  Arkansas almost threw up the biggest upset in recent memory.  My Huskies looked pretty good in a loss against Stanford.

I watched the Mariners, though.  For the first time in a long time, a Seattle MLB team was relevant in September.   Had Oakland lost, it would have forced a one game playoff to determine who got to play in a one game playoff to go the the playoffs.    Seriously!

That's why I still run 32 bit DAWs.   The bennefit of going to 64 is negligible, but it restricts the VSTs you can use.

What are you using for your VST host?  VST's have to have something to run in.  What are you using?

And which VSTs?

Yeah that was a great game with Denver.  Russell Wilson looked like (wait for it....) Peyton Manning out there!

Ya but nobody does Omaha like Payton Manning, have any of you figured out why he says that so much during play time?

Because Manning is basically an on-field offensive coordinator, and will audible a lot to respond to what he sees going on in the defense.   Omaha is just one of the ways he communicates the new call to the line.

Yeah I heard about the niners during halftime of the Seatttle Denver show.....  and yes, show was the intended word.  I had expected a good matchup and some serious football..... but seriously!  Hard fought on both sides of the field and the line.  Well worth the investment of time it took to sit on my arse and see every minute.  Including the overtime.

Congrats Hawks!

and Well Done Mr. Manning!!

I have a feeling if Payton had called heads the Seahawks would not have seen the ball

If a frog had wings he wouldn't bump his butt when he hopped.  smile

Alternately, if Denver's defense could have stopped Seattle, they would have seen the ball.

The Packers did it,My team shot it self in the foot 4 turnovers, and flags after almost every play I think they set a new record for the team. I only saw alittle of the seahawks and the chargers but the chargers seemed too have a good defense,I thought the hawks would slay them but I was wrong.

I wish I could have seen the Seahawk game I would email a video to the defensive and offensive coordinators of the Packers I did watch the 9ers and the Bears game Kappernick looked REALLY P-off couldn't have happened to a more "humble" guy LOVED IT!!! sorry dino smile

What did the 'Hawks in was Antonio Gates.  The dude is huge, has glue hands, and Seattle's line backers simply couldn't hold him up.   The Chargers also put themselves in a ton of 3rd and short positions, and so ended up with the ball a whole lot.   It was a bit of a blueprint on how to beat them.  Keep their defense on the field, take advantage of they injury gap at the nickel slot (due to injury, the 'Hawks started two corners that weren't even with the team two weeks ago), and have a giant presence across the middle.   Good win for the Chargers.  And having spent six years in San Diego, I don't feel bad about that loss at all.  I'm a Chargers fan, too.

Seattle did manage to score 21 points while only holding onto the ball for 18 minutes, which is pretty impressive.   Denver gets crushed next week, though.  Poor guys. big_smile

Chargers are a good team!  And since you can't win 'em all (72' Dolphins excepted), losing to a non-conference team on the road is a good way to do it.

And, since the Niners lost to the Bears, it's OK.  big_smile

Soooo.... in the NCAA...

Washington finally played a game and looked like a Pac-12 team should.  USC played a game and didn't, getting beat by Boston College.  (No love lost for Coach Mediocre!).    Virginia upset Louisville in a bit of a shocker.  VA Tech shocked absolutely no one except ACC enablers in the media, and once again proved themselves to be the most consistently over rated team in history by getting beat by East Carolina.   South Carolina rebounds and beat a really good Georgia team, and Alabama's Lane Kiffen handicapped offense managed to score 52 against.... Southern Miss, which is 1-23 over the last two seasons.

Tomorrow, the NFL.   Lets see if Russ's Packers take it out on the J.E.T.S JetsJetsJets!!!

I bet they do.  smile

Sorry about those Packer's, Russ.  I have a hunch the Seahawks will be delivering a lot of beat downs this year.  They only got better in the off season.

No need to be sorry they looked really sharp I just hope the front office of the Packers gets some quality help if they want to be competitive

Those injuries didn't help.  Losing your center was obviously a big deal, and losing your starting nose tackle just makes more room for Marshawn to run.  Both of those things showed up in the game, I thought.
