Good stuff Mike, Nice to see that you are a' one man woman'
like myself. We are so lucky to have found great ladies. Wow
Deep Purple now there's a band I would love to see live. I say call in sick and go. Seems like our chances of seeing bands we grew up with are far and few between these days.
I am still amazed I got to see "The Band" a few years ago. a concert I'll always remember.

Hey Old Doll the only french i had was in high school some 30 years ago. Only thing i remember is ferme la port which i think is close the door? Anyway I failed french class but still made it through high school.Someone in Ireland needs to turn off the rain switch and turn on the sun switch.

May the sun hit you both today....Badeye.

Hey Mike how you been? I was only ten in '69 but did attend in '94 reunion concert. some bands played at both concerts.
C S N were great at both. Also Ten Years After and The Band
Although they were with Bob Dylan in '69. Ritchie Havens seems to stick out from the '69 concert and Country Joe and the Fish. At '94 we tried to get close to Metalica but ended up in a mosh pit and got full of mud in my altered state but what a rush it was. There was almost 1 million people there in '94 and it was three days of peace and music like '69. In
1999 they held another one but the music changed and almost had a riot as the crowd burned connessions stands.
Anyway good to see you back on chordie. Early here and got
to go to work.

Have a good day... Badeye.

Hello Joe Coal, Welcome to Chordie. My dad was a coal miner for 40 years in the mines of Cape Breton. Years ago when "Coal Was King" the economy boomed. Now all the coal mines are shut down and people move away to find work. I found a music book with over 100 coal mining songs
that my dad used to listen to. Its a book for panio but i've converted some to guitar. Mining coal raised 9 kids and had some good memories as well. My grandfathers were miners as well as a lot of my uncles. I admire all miners as it is not easy going underground. enough rambling anyway take care and have a good day.
