Hi ssttsstt - I just surfed around a bit and didn't have any of the problems you have described. Have you tried closing your browser (IE or firefox) completely and the reopening? I know that often works for me when I experience web site issues.

Hi waynedd and welcome to Chordie! I don't have an iPod Touch (though it is on my "wish list"), but there is some info here that may be helpful.
From the front page:
Save your songbook as an iPod Notes files. These can easily be tranferred to your iPod. Works on most versions of the iPod. The newest generation can even show the chord grids. The songs are stored as text only with chords in brackets. A very compact format for such small screens. This feature is only available after you log in.

Actually, I though the performance was real good before - never had any problems with slow loading pages or anything. Now that I surfed around a bit, things do seem to load a bit faster, but like I said, it was always pretty good for me anyway. I have a cable broadband connection.

Hi bydna and welcome to Chordie.
Chordie is a search engine and does not actually host any of the songs you see here. This is from the FAQ and info links that can be found under the Resources tab:
This service is a search engine specialising on chopro-files. As most other search engines, it does not host any of the indexed files.
You can not transpose songs that are presented in plain text format. Like this one. Transposing only works when the Chordie engine recognizes a song. Here is an example of a working song. Use the dropdown menu on the right to transpose it. Generally songs with tablatures can't be transposed.

On songs that are in the proper format (chopro), you can change the key by clicking on the dropdown menu under Transpose Chords.

I'm in the same school with George Carlin on this one. Why is "s***" a bad word and "poop" considered acceptable, or cute even? - they both mean the exact same thing. They are both just words. Letters formed in a particular sequence . It is only society's perception that defines one as bad and one as acceptable. There is no logic behind it. The only thing that makes them bad is that we were taught that they were bad as children and that they are not allowed on TV. I wonder if all these words were all of a sudden allowed in the media, how long it would take for them not to be considered "bad". Would society then form new words that were "bad"? Probably.
