This made what bit of hair I have left stand on end. You can feel the emotion, this guy is such a talent. Please don't waste it, hope to hear more from you soon.

I love the simplicity of the song, just a voice and a guitar. Perhaps a bit of mouth organ between verses wouldn't go amiss. Doesn't matter wether you can play one or not. It never stopped Dylan. Nice work TIG.

I don't believe what I just saw and heard, incredible,  unbelievable. This is my first visit to this thread, looks like I got a lot of catching up to do

Love the smooth,  clear chord changes, Lets face it . Not many musicians would want to follow Queen, but I think you did a darn good job. Wish I could play half as good as you.

Never been a headstock snob but I would love a Gretsch. They just look and sound so classy. Nice one TF.

Happy NGD. Don't forget to post if you buy a new bread maker. (Happy NBMD)

I really enjoyed that. Don't know why your so hard on the s****y singer, you should be proud of that great folk singer voice

Same as UJB. I miss a few strings due to the wider neck. Also it can be difficult to barre the thinner strings in between the bass strings. I tend to use the capo and open chords.
But I do like the sound when you let the 12er ring out.

I just checked this out by youself and FD. A song that captures life in the UK in the 80s and with a few changes, the present time. Many people reading this will not understand. I live in Nottingham,  both my father and brother were miners, but both on opposite sides of the fence during the strike. This caused a split that lasted years.

Just got round to having a listen to this, being a rustie myself I naturally like it. Although I have the sheet music for this its one I've never played, but now you've inspired me. Thank you for posting.

I realise now I can't play guitar, and I'm to thick for law school, but 2,3,4 and 5 I can manage.

A fantastic start to what I'm sure is going to be a very enjoyable feature.  As much as I like to try and play fingerstyle, I could not learn that in a lifetime. Thanks TF

Two great songs Phill. I particularly like Maggie Coulter, although its a tragic tale it has a very catchy melody.  Again, great work Phill
Ps who's the young model, is she one of your family ?

Hi Bill, Dondra. So pleased to learn that at last things are picking up for you. Lets keep it that way, don't overdo things. I don't know if a humble senior member is allowed to give orders to a Musicator Extraordinaire but get plenty of rest, and don't try to run before you can walk.

Great song, and yes definitely Dolly. Brings back memories of my time in the Falklands in the 80s. We were building a camp there for the R.A.F. No mobile phones or Skype then just one phone call a month and we were gone for 10 months at a time. Good luck to your daughter and your son in law.
