I played one and it was a blast. The man who owned it has a lot more experience than me with them and he says the Morgan Monroe  Indiana model is the way to go.

When I was shopping for a mandolin I read where the type of glue you use  in building and I would assume repairing an instrument makes a difference in the sound. I would contact Roger. No offence intended to Dino but to have to do it over if the wrong glue were used would be a problem.

And now he still has a useless, unplayable guitar! I'm just picking. I think it took a lot of talent and imagination. You don't count the time in a labor of love. I give it a thumbs up!

I think I would try to get the names of some of his students and see how they have done.

Finally got to jam with NELA and meet his wife and hear her sing. What a good time I had last night. Never would have happened without this site. Thanks again to the chordie founders.

Open tuning may be an option. I have not tried Rock Tips.

A few years ago I picked up a First Act parlor size acoustic for around $70 bucks brand new at Wal-Mart. I taught one grandson to play on it. He now has a couple guitars of his own. It hangs on the wall on a string until it gets knocked off or I decide to put chords to a song I am trying to learn. It's small and comfortable as I sit strumming with my feet up on my desk. Grabbing it saves a lot of wear and tear on my grown up guitars until I get the song arranged the way I want it. I don't think it has ever had a new set of strings on it. When I take a set of Elixers off my Yamaha I put them on the First Act. Sounds better but not great but what can you expect. Just felt like sharing that. 3 more grand kids coming up to knock it around a bit also.

Actually you could save money. Lets say you made picks out of all your credit cards. Then you wouldn't be charging stuff on the cards because they are gone. If they send a replacement make more picks.

I enjoyed that!    Been missing  you posting. Good to hear from you.

I used Audacity for a while, but when I got a Windows 7 computer, it didn't work with Windows 7 yet.  Have they fixed that?

I don't know Zurf, I still have XP but maybe someone else will know.
