That's latency by definition.  smile  The question is, where in your signal chain is it being introduced?  Are you running the guitar through any software?   An amp sim?  How are you integrating the guitar and the computer?

Rus's suggestion to use AISO4ALL is a good one for anyone using a Windows machine.  It's a bit more confusing, but it is vastly superior to the default software audio drivers that ship with Windows.

Ever wonder what one mic can do for you that another can't?  Shure has a wonderful tool that can help you understand the difference in tonal characteristics from one mic to the next.

Pic a couple of mics in the comparator, and select the same music for them to hear the difference in tonal characteristic.  It's pretty dang cool

I hadn't.  But he does a lot with that left hand.  smile

Niners did not do well, did the seahawks really eat turkey out there? If they did that shows no class at all there team and coaches should be ashamed of themselves. I did not see the game as I was on the road and it was not on my radio. I only heard the score on the news.

Yes they did dino Russell Wilson and Sherman along with a women reporter it was televised and I agree it was an insult to 49er fans I can tell you one thing it would not have happened at Lambou field I have a feeling where the stuffing would go.

No one in Santa Clara complained when their fans were throwing bottles at Seahawks players at halftime.  Or when they did the wave as the Cardinals waited for Calias Cambel to be carted off the field.  Or when a Cowboys fan got stabbed for being a Cowboys fan at Candlestick.   SF fans crying "no class" is about as kettle/black as it gets.

Everything Sherman and Wilson do is on the field.  That can't be said about the 49ers fans.

That was a huge win.  I loved Richard Sherman's post game interview.  The reporter asked him if he played any harder against the 49ers.  He said "No.   They said all week that if there was an open guy they were going to throw to the open guy.  So I was the open guy."   smile

That there is a pretty well documented dislike between Doug Baldwin and Richard Sherman, and their old college coach Jim Harbaugh, always makes this game fun to watch.  Eventually I think they'll figure out not to throw the ball over there, though.

Oh yeah, and I don't know if anyone saw Oakland beat KC, but that was a comically good game.   Oakland did every thing they could to lose, and in classic Raider's fashion, screwed that up, too!  big_smile

The Cardinals win was nice, but I'm still not sold.  The Seahawks defense looked great, but the Cards offense is really, really, bad.  Carson Palmer and Larry Fitzgerald out, and no running game to speak of... That is an offense they should have dominated.  They get to look at Frank Gore for 60 minutes come Thanksgiving, and with Brandon Mebane out for the year, I think it will look a whole lot different.

Their offense did impress me to some degree, though.  They gave up something like seven sacks and still managed to score 20 points.  If the 'Hawks O-Line doesn't get its act together, I picture a very long day for Russell Wilson down in the bay area next week.

The Packers look great, though.  They're my "right here and now" NFC pick for the SB.

That too Jerome, but if you scroll down the page of the link I provided, it is also applicable to Windows 8, 7, Vista, and several flavors of Server.
There are I think 3 links on the page, and one is for home users.  It was not included in the usual Tuesday patch schedule and came to my attention late last night.  This morning the IT Team (my oldest is one of them for the School District) started deployment on their 10 servers and 3800 workstations.  Although you may not knowingly use Kerberos, it is used in many web applications and "an ounce of prevention" etc..
For More Info:  http://www.zdnet.com/details-emerge-on- … 000035976/

No, it's not applicable.  They list all their OS's on that sheet, but if you look at the detail for them

https://technet.microsoft.com/library/security/MS14-068

You'll find that the security impact for Vista, Win 7, Win 8, and Win 8.1 is "None."

This is a Kerberos weakness, and those platforms don't use Kerberos as they aren't multi-user.   Hence, no patch for those platforms.

For all you Windows users there is a critical update that you should all install at your earliest.  REALLY!!

The short of it is that if exploited it could be used to hijack your Admin Account and force your web administrator to completely recompile their web server.

Be Safe out there!

I've been getting scam calls from "Microsoft Certified Professional Security Division" lately.   I always direct them to my new address

and ask if they can call me back at my "business number."

Poor Oakland.  It is exactly one year to the day since they last won a football game.  They're 0 for their last 16!

Man,  baring an absolute tear over the next six games (four of them divisional) I don't see the Seahawks in the post season.  In fact, given that in the next six weeks, the 49ers, Seahawks, and Cardinals all play each other a bunch, I don't see anyone but the division winner coming out of the NFC West.  The wild cards are going to get eaten up by some combination of Green Bay, Detroit, Dallas, Atlanta, and Eagles.

Tate is exceptional I know the Hawks miss him

Yeah, but we are generally pretty happy he is becoming a rock star out there.  He was a popular player here, but when they signed Percy Harvin, his fate was sealed.

It's got to be tough being any kind of receiver in the 'Hawk's offense.   Run Run Run!

Cougin' it is contagious if you don't watch out.   The Huskies kicked their best defensive back off the team for being an egregious butthead.  I'm generally OK with that, as my model is always Don James, and Don James would never put up with the crap this kid was dishing out, so Chris Peterson showing him the gate is OK with me.  The flip side

UCLA 44 - UW 30.

Seahawks are all kind of banged up.  Kam Chancellor, Max Unger, Russell Okung, Bobby Wagner, and Byron Maxwell were all on the bench.   David Carr is going to be a pretty good QB if he ever gets a team around him.

The Rams are serious business.

I did find it interesting to note that some chords of tension cannot be done on the Dulcimer (Maj7,7,9, etc.), but they are not essential, particularly when played in accompaniment with a wider strung instrument (such as guitar).

That has to do with the number of strings vs the number of notes in the chord.  For example, it is impossible to play a dominant 13th chord of any sort on a guitar.  Reason?  Seven notes in the chord - six strings on the fret board.

Most of us get by playing the "important notes"  (root, 3rd, 7th, and 13th) but you can't actually fit that many fingers into the "canonical" chord.   I spent a great deal of my youth playing a two valved G bugle.  You can't play a low D on it.   Not enough valves.   We got by.  :)

Seahawks win ugly.  They need to do something about their offense.  A bit more pass rush this week, but man, they gotta do something.

Huskies lost to AZ State in a close one.  The Sun Devils are a great team this year, so I was glad to see UW play them as tight as they did.   The Husky defense is really good and really young (two true freshmen in the backfield) so the future is bright for that unit.  The offense, though.....   Ugh.   Looked like pop warner.   Cyler Miles was on the bench recovering from a concussion.  He can run, but can't throw.  The two young backups (also freshmen) just don't have the experience to deal with complex FBS defenses right now.  Their best running back is also their best linebacker, and is playing both sides of the ball on occasion.

Oh well, at least it's football!

Holmgren is a regular on the radio up here, and did a pretty extensive interview about the Oakland trip.  He confirmed he was in Oakland and talked to the Raiders as a consultant about their offense.  He is friends with several people on their staff, so thats no big thing.  He said that no job was offered or even discussed, and categorically stated that he was "not going to be the next head  coach of the Raiders.... Probably."

Looks like the wheels have come off the Seahawks bandwagon.  Percy Harvin gone for a conditional sixth round pick.  Apparently the guy was locker room poison.

The bright side....  It's gonna free up a ton of salary cap space next year.   smile
