Hey, Doll
Have you never been Ice Skating before? It's brilliant, until you trip over, fall flat on your face with arms and legs akimbo, for someone to skate over your fingers.

I guess everyone who ever lived with or loved a woman knows how you feel. You just put it into words for us all!
Lovely!
I've got Crossroads, the 1986 film with Ralph Macchio and Joe Seneca. It also rocks and cost me about $4.00
Money even weller spent, I feel!
They also say that you shouldn't have a floyd rose bridge on your first guitar! I actually made that up but it took me 2 hours to get the bridge set approximately right
Actually, I do wash my feet.... in cheap plonk, it's so astringent it goes through everything I've accumulated during the day!
I am up and about, standing up straight, although I occasionally have to give it a couple of goes cos, well, things are tugging in there that didn't ought to be if you get my drift
I've had a blast here at home, as Mrs Bonedaddy is in London! I've watched about 12 films in three days and all with guitar in hand to add to the soundtrack
One of the films inspired a tirade to music, which I've posted in the Songwriting forum so get yourself there and say nice things about it
Thanks for your concern, and know that I'm thinking of you
Hi All
Saw the Dixie Chicks documentary last night about how the lead singer said that they were against the war and violence and that they were ashamed that the president was from Texas and how the American press got hold of it and then the public went off on one and started with threats and boycotts and the radio stations banned the Dixie Chicks from their playlists and ... Oh dear I went off on one again!
The comment was made in 2003, ten days before the invasion of Iraq and the Dixie Chicks are still banned on the majority of stations.
Enjoy
Hi Lieven this is better than goodbye! Lyrics are great - "hair dancing in the wind" is lovely!
Eb to D change is sublime
I live in Grimsby, which is a pimple on the ass end of the UK!
Lieven, this is a great song! Good lyrics and a killer chord sequence!
Great Song, Daddycool!
Particularly the bit where we all lie to our parents
[f]say you have to work,[c]so you can't go[g] along.
James, I'd like to believe that sons have weapons of their own in the battle of the sexes and that, on the whole honours are about even.
I love this song, well done!
Bloody Hell Lieven!
What's all this about? Your songs aren't wrong, they're your songs - how can they be wrong?
Like I told you before, your songs are read and appreciated but not everybody feels comfortable with feeding back information.
C'mon, dude - lighten up and post us another... maybe not quite so.... chordie
cheers
Hi, All! A link to my songbook which made me a legend in my own mind!
Some mixed stuff in here mainly simple but some more challenging (especially to me) and some that I aspire to but haven't the talent... YET!
I got one of those for Christmas, I like it, but it's got some rough finishing on it and the action is a bit high. Sounds great and I've been plucking it for about 6 hours today!
Great song, Doll! Guess you dint copy off what I sent you
Stay Awesome!
I'm great, really thanks Doll. I really enjoyed that post and the John Mayer, sublime stuff!
Might need the rubber ring in a moment, as just taken a laxative!
Too much information? Thought so!
Lena you rotter!
Had a hernia op yesterday and in agony today - come on chordie for some nice gentle entertainment and end up almost literally busting a gut!
Thanks a bunch
Hi all
I am too damn shallow to come up with any weighty arguments to support my pro choice stance... other than nature gave certain animals the choice to abort in the womb so why not humans? A close friend of mine had an abortion at 15 and when I asked her if she ever regretted it, she screwed up her nose and said 'not in a million years'. This friend of mine works with mentally handicapped children and is devoted to all of them so no-one could ever accuse her of being uncaring or heartless.
You make your choice then deal with the consequences.
By the way, if the lyrics to the song above are a psalm, should they be posted on chordie, as the posts are for original material only?
How much fun would it be to sit around a campfire with lots of booze, a few guitars and this song!
By the way, why is the term 'tribal ballad' construed as a slur? I thought that collectives of people were tribes and that a plaintive song was a ballad. Laws, geneologies, legends, lore were all passed down as song or rhyme as it made the content easier to remember. The ones who were charged with passing down this information were given huge social status by any tribe so I'm sure no insult was intended.
Hi KTSmith! As this is your first and only post, you must be feeling a little knocked about by the fuss!
Don't worry about it, we're all friends here so don't be shy about posting more!
Also, Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath lost his fretting fingertips and Def Leppard's drummer lost an arm in a car crash but still plays for them
Anyway, I like the idea of creating a new setting for these ancient tribal ballads. However, the full text of Psalm 137 speaks of joyously wreaking vengeance upon the Babylonians by smashing their babies against the rocks - so I find the association with pro-life politics rather incongruous.
Ah, well you see fairy tales are about my intellectual level so I can really relate to them. Also I abandoned my kids in the woods!
I don't need a sat nav to get lost, I do that all on my own!
Brilliant! Hole in one dude!
