i'm grotty

You know I pick my nose and I shave my hair

I'm 39 years old but I dont care

I bite my toenails when the water is hot

I try to get rid of the scabies that I got

chorus

I'm grotty

I'm disgusting

I smell like a pig and I look like a rat's arse

I'm grotty

I'm di.... sgus....ting

I stick my finger up my bum and I give it a sniff

all day long i keep getting a whiff

for dental floss I use my pubes

the dirt from between my toes I turn into cubes

chorus

Break

Sometimes I wash when I get up

sometimes I drink urine from a cup

and when im hungry I get bye

from eating an out of date cherry pie

I eat my earwax coz i think it is nice

sometimes I feel sick but thats the price

I use my soiled boxer shorts as a face mask

i like sucking dirty toes after drinking a cask

chorus

if I could see

If I could see, then I could see

If I could be, there's no need to see

where will I be?

If I could talk, then I could really talk

wouldnt have to walk, all I do is talk

where would I walk?

If I could see the stars

If I could see the rain

If I could find a purpose

there would be no pain

if I could see, then I would be

there's no need to see, If I could be

what would I see?

have no need to talk, no need to walk

cant find my tongue to talk, go on a walk

I want to talk

If I could see the moon

If i could see the sea

If I could find a reason

to be me

If I could run away and hide in a hole

there would be no warnings on a pole

I'd hide in there forver until i could see

the reasons i hide

if I could only see.

best advice is to keep practicing, lol, sorry.

You could also try playing along to some easy songs and try to imitate the strumming patterns, i.e. house of rising sun, knocking on heavens dooor.

and lots lots more, any that the guitar is vert clear to hear, try getting a hold of some songs that are done just with an acoustic guitar,

Good luck

I dont know why people are complaining about who wrote what.

As said in a nother thread chordie is a search engine for lyrics and chords, they are not submitted on the actual web site.

If every song was to be checked we would probably still be waiting for upgrades to the site, i.e no forum like this to say about who wrote what.

It doesnt really matter who wrote it and would take too long to check every song.

I have come across lots of songs that say they were wrote by someone and they are not,

And i think some of the songs that are mentioned do not say they were wrote by certain people, it is saying whos version it is.

If someone is really, like really interested in finding out who wrote a song they can google it.

there are no royalties paid to the artists or the writers of songs from tab/chord/lyric pages on the net so there is no need to change anybody's name unless they have a song next to them that they never wrote or sung, but if they did write or sing a certain song then they can have their name next to it I think.

People these days are getting far too moany and always wanting to be politically correct etc,

people should just enjoy what they have got.

by wearing a strap,lol

the tricky bit i find is trying to do a handstand and keep playing.

iam assuming you cannot play and stand up, even if wearing a strap?

If not, then sit down in your usual "playing guitar " position, put a strap on, adjust the strap so it is just hovering off your leg, then stand up.

the guitar is in the same place as it was when you are sitting down playing

you couold maybe try greenday's " best time of your life" or whatever it is called.

It is usually picked but you can also just strum it, easy chords, easy melody and easy to play and sing.

Ken

hi Bully,

as I said before somewhere just the other day about songs for weddings " walk for ever by my side" by "the alarm",

the words are fantastic for a new bride. I know 2 people that used this as their first dance.

And I think singing your new mrs this song would be lovely, and you can watch her cry with happiness, depending on your voice, lol.

chordie doesnt have the lyrics and chords though, but I am sure in alarm.com there is a part with the lyrics, you would have to work out the chords if your were playing guitar as well.

other than that, how about holidays in the sun by the sex pistols?lol

HiStorm,

I dont know about dada, but alvee and me are in Scotland, dont think there are any guitar stores like you say. Also I think the shops in usa are more friendlier than here. We get used to growls and grunts here, lol

I totally agree with you there.

And this looks like it is getting into a religious argument about who is right, who is wrong, is there a god is there not a god,

so lets calm down folk before someone blows.

this thread is about 4 christian songwriters. Lets keep it that way

k.

when you are writing a song and you come across a chord that you dont know and all your known chords dont sound right, why not go to a chord chart and try a fw out.

You should be able to tell if it is some sort of D or A etc.

there is a link to a chord chart on chordie.

good luck

too right!!!

this is why in the 60's musicians like the who, pink floyd, beatles, rolling stones, smalle faces jammed a lot together ( not all groups at once)

there are a few songs on the net with syd barrett and the beatles smashed out their faces and making up a song as they went along.

sharing is good, it helps others with ideas and even lyrics, as long as a whole song or verse is stolen.

But for guitar riffs and strumming patterns it is a super idea.

I have a few songs of my own on youtube.com if you look up upyerkilt123 you can have a laugh at mine.

very interesting!!

Lets hope they dont get away with closing any chord/tab site down, if so I will throw away my computer.

I would think if it was actual music that sites were sharing then yeah, infringment would be there but not for tabs/and especially not chords.

and chordie is a search engine that gets the songs from other sites, so I tihnk this would mean songs would disapear from chordie???

is that right? I dunno

not happy

Ken

enjopy yer trip James

I am off myself on friday to the isle of Jura on the west coast of scotland for 5 days walking/drinking/fishing/more drinking/and having a good time.

Byefurthenoo

Ken

yeah that sounds not too bad, but depends on Pere. Would this be easy enoug hto do Pere?

and what do you think of this idea?

Ken

p.s.what would happen to all the public ones just now? Just wiped off?

yeah,

chordie it is and chords it should be, but what I was saying ( I think) is if someone does prefer tabs they will give a low rating to a chord structure because it is not the way it is laid out for them, I know it would be wrong of them to do it but knowing the way people are, they would.

Ken

I dont know if the rating system tell you how many votes have been casted, but maybe after 30 votes or another set number?. But maybe a book would be good but the first 30 people out of thousands didnt like it and voted it low.

Or it could be that a good song book does not appeal to someone because there are no songs a particular person likes and this will make them rate it low. So there could be a few complications there.

And as for the lay out of the songs, some people , like me will like t osee the lyrics with the chords above whereas others would just like the tab versions of songs.

maybe, if it is easy enough to do, set the public songbooks so you can not have two songs the same in the songbook and got to have over 20 before allowing it to go public?

I got an electronic tuner for the same reason last year. I got one of those damn expensive ones " the intellitouch tuner" got it cheap @ £35 for the top of the range in intellitouch. Usually they are about £42

I am so happy with my tuner, or I was until a guy in my work bought one very similar ( as in it tunes by the vibration and note the sound) for a mere £20. He has no light on his though not that I have ever had to use the light on mine I dont think
