I have run into a snag with the paint removal this paint is from another planet far beyond the means of mortal men I have tried three paint removal products including citristrip nada I finished hand sanding the front and started on the back hopefully I will finish up tomorrow sometime my kingdom for a good palm sander. sad

Have you tried aircraft paint remover? citristrip is crap.  After that its up to 80grit and orbital. then work up to at least 120.  How are the inner radiuses doing? They are the hard ones to get preped.

I would definatly go with the offer from the paint guy.  Just be sure to use a compatable primer to the candy Coat.  A metalic silver would be a great base if you want a slight speckle under the top coat.

for future ref: I have bought equipment  and guitars form Musicians friend, and music123.  sservice is great, MF has no shipping charges as of the last year on most orders. M123 Is none on anything over 50 bucks. Customer service at both places has been exceptional.

look at AXL strats and Rondo.  dont know what you feel like spending.   W/ a good set up and fret file (which every guitar needs no matter what) the AXLs are pretty nice for teh low cost.

If you would like I can scan the first few lessons my boy had last year. He was 10 when he started.

Ask her what she likes.   basic Dylan is cool. and some basic AC/DC.  A fun one is TNT and its easy.  (for fun  ask her to sit and watch   IT MIGHT GET LOUD. If you have not seen it, you will love it. here is a good clip from youtube.

I am the worlds worst for playing covers "the correct way".  EX:  One night 2 friends sat down, I pulled my guitar out and she asked to sing HOTEL CALIFIORNIA.  I said OK. I paly this song to the note, just slower and a slight diff rythem pattern.  It messed her up cause she went right from memory and not listening to how I played.  It took her a min or two to adjust.  Once she did, it sounded amazing!  Wish I had taped it!

Trouble is,,,, most PPL are slaves to the click.  I still am trying to master it!!  It is a must if your recording tracks, jamming with new friends.  I have found most pple are resistant to changing what they have learnt "by the book / original version"  If you can find a few ppl who encourrage you and are willing to do your way a bit,,, KEEP THEM AROUND FOREVER!

PLAY YOUR SONG.    BE YOURSELF AND FOLLO0W THE SONG IN YOUR HEART.

This is footage from a reunion concert/fundraiser.  Maxx Warrior was one of the best east coast meatal band of the 80's  After splitting up the lead singer and Bass player became names you might have heard of  CJ Snare and Perry Richardson formed FIREHOUSE.  The lead guitarist on the red SG is named Alton Eddins.  I grew up with his brother and Alton and I are great friends now also.

They are joined on stage for a sound check with 3 guys from NANTUCKET.  Al owns the solo though.  I am keeping my eye out for more vids from this night.  I hope to find some of just Maxx Warrior doing their originals.

There are more sound clips of Original Maxx on You Tube.

Just wanted to share this.

Maybe you should have asked him what type Drawers he wore. tighty whitie or boxers?

DON'T YOU JUST HATE IT WHEN THAT HAPPENS!  That is why you have to play with the shop amps and guitars lololol, or get them to show you what they just did.

It is after Christmas.  I am now the proud owner of the above mentioned toy, along with athe C-1 Mic from same co.  I got teh 2 1/4 jacks to 1/8 stereo to run into my sound card.

Now I think I have the wrong set for looping back to monitor.its a 2 1/4 to 2 male RCA set up. I am thinking I need the set I first mentioned or find an adaptor of 1/8 to 2 female RCA.

I have my laptops headphone out running to my stereo and then I assume I could run from stereo headphone out to mixer AUX imputs?

(I did say i would be asking more questionsLOLOLOLOL)

VOX is a classic.  Fender Twins.

I am no expert, but I would imagin anything that can get great reverb and is all tube.  Whats your budget?

i am going to assume a low budget and give you some links to check into.

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ … =used#used

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/guitars/ … -combo-amp
(I have one of these. great classic tone and a great price/ its a copy of a vox btw)

It comes down to finding one you likethe sound of.  Solid state will be cheeper.  Line 6 and Berhinger  make good low cost stuff.

hope this helped.

just found this page it should answer all your basic questions.  CHEERS.

I would SOOO like to find another Kramer Striker 6000.  I know they were the low end of kramer, but higher than a pacer.

That was the first NEW guitar I ever bought.I think it was around 400. I bought this big rectangle case that would hold 3 standard size stomp boxes and a big compartment.   Also bought a Crate G20C stero chorus amp.  I just signed over my very first tax return check to the store, and then still owed them about 200 bucks.  I told them to hold everything for me till I could pay for it.  They smiled and  said "Scott after 3 years of seeing you amost every weekend, take it. We know were you live."  LOLOLOL THAT IS WHY THAT SHOP IS THE BEST ONE IN ASHEVILLE NC.  So if your visiting the town, Look up MUSICIANS WORKSHOP on Merrimon Ave.  Its family owned. See if Frank or Jack are there and tell them I said how great they are. (not intended to be an add.-- They just ROCK!

Even though I don't play great, I would have every guitar that catches my fancy hanging from my walls,,,,,if money  and my wife both happened to align on the same cosmic plane.  Just looking at them makes me feel better. (oh any classic old bike)
