Do a search on youtube with some of the lyrics and see what you come up with!  If you find it, you can link to the song here and then some can help you out hopefully.  You can't actually post lyrics on the forum (unless they are your own writing), but you can post a one liner to give us a hint of the song.  Let us know what you find vanwink!  smile  AND... welcome to Chordie!!

As far as I know, you are right Ian.  The edit function had something to do with the band pages and has been disabled for a while now.  Jayelgee, it's very nice that you'd like to help make things more current.  Sadly, those things had to be put on hold due to copyright issues.  If/When that function becomes enabled again, there will no doubt be a large announcement as there are many members that would also like to help out with these types of things.

In the mean time... feel free to check around and jump into the forum discussions.  smile  The community here is pretty great, and everyone is friendly and willing to help others out as well as receive help!  smile

Lena, it sounds as though you got a bit caught up in a man... by now my dear you should know not to put your eggs in one basket, time to get out there and play the field and stop waiting on love.  You know it only comes when you are not looking for it.  Live, laugh, play and THEN love!  smile  ((HUGS))  -- Like Jason of course, I too could be wrong!  LOVELY WRITE!

Welcome to the Chordie forum BajaMuleDiva!  I did an internet search and could NOT find anything for Dave Stamey chords sad  Maybe if you put up a link to a recording one of the members here can help you with figuring out the progression.  Good luck!

Hey Simon, welcome to Chordie!  I've waited to comment on this thread, cuz there's not a whole lot more to say than the guys have... it gets better.  I started with my husband's Steel guitar for a few weeks... fingers KILLED... then he bought me a nylon... they still hurt but I got used to it quickly.  Finally I wanted my own steel... and it was like learning all over again until I built up callouses.  Consider this... girlie hands that are manicured and moisturized regularly and in water all day long as a job requirement - I still have managed to "earn" my callouses and can play for a few hours before my fingers start hurting too much to go on.  If my fingertips can do it, then yours can too!  Keep it up, and you'll be moving along fast soon!  My biggest complaint when I started was that my fingers couldn't handle playing for as long as my brain wanted to, but eventually your fingers will catch up, I promise!!  wink

Sorry to hear this is a true story for you.  I've found music to be an excellent therapy Jaimer... writing and then singing ... helps a LOT with getting those feelings out.  Keep up with it!  smile

It's a beautiful song... honestly I've never learned the meaning of it though (or all the words, which doesn't help), and I feel a little ashamed to say that.  It does remind me of New Years however, it seems to be played on New Years Eve in some way shape or form every year around here.  These guys sang it well!  Thanks for sharing fatstrings!

Very well written Jamier, the hurt and anger comes though in the well too known story of love and betrayal.

Hey Phill, great job!  I agree with Roger... "10 years ago" and "Eternity Begun" are my favorites!  Thank you for the recording of Eternity... it has all the heart in it!  Excellent!

Ok... I say... buy yourself a set of strings, or a new capo or something cheap to satisfy your urge to spend right now, then save up the rest of the gift cards for what you really want!  wink  The holidays are just around the corner so there's a good chance you might just get more gift cards given to you soon to get the goods... just remember to put them on your list!!  smile

Chris, I will guess that you added someone else's songbook into your saved songbooks.  You probably have a few?  You can have several songbooks, and can change the one that you are adding new songs to.  You'll see something like this:

Songbook ADD
name of songbook here
Change book

With the word ADD being highlighted to save the song, then the name of the songbook is below it that you are adding to.  Click on "Change book" to choose a different songbook to add the song into.

Hope that helps  smile

Congrats on your 40th anniversary to yourself and Mrs. NELA as well!  I'll bet she'll be happy to have that kiss!  We miss our men something horrible when they are away.  We own 17 acres of nothing but good hunting land.  This will be my son's first year that he can bow hunt big game (deer).  I'm hoping for a good freezer full this year!  I miss some good ole venison stew!  Good luck with your homecoming and a little quiet hunting time!

Well david, a quick internet search finds tab for the song here:  http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/tabs/d/d … gs_tab.htm (it looks like there may be other versions on that site as well so look around if that doesn't seem accurate), and you can find the lyrics here:  http://www.stlyrics.com/lyrics/wanted/t … things.htm

Hope that helps you out a bit!  Have fun!

Thanks guys!  You are right Doug... there's a part of me that would love to be out there, but I do value my private time at home with my family way too much.  I don't know how the stars can stand to be in the public eye all the time.

A very good story!  It's nice when good things make the news for a change!

Qbdriver ... did you try countrytabs.com yet?  It's another site you have to be a member of to view, but it looks like they might have it there.  Good luck!!

xxxxtrem - it's best to start a new thread for a new song request; changing the topic on someone else's thread is considered "hijacking".  Please do start a new one next time.  For now, I believe this may be the song you're looking for:

Welcome to Chordie Gerst!

This thread:  http://www.chordie.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=11132  has some links to strumming patterns as well as a link to a chordie songbook filled with songs for beginners.  The very first song I learned was "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by John Denver.  chords: A, D, E

Good luck, and HAVE FUN!
