DE for the reason for black tooth grin,
The name of the drink comes from a lyric in the Megadeth song "Sweating Bullets". "Some day you too will know my pain, and smile its blacktooth grin"

and it was Dimebag darryls favorite drink.

If you are looking for 100 songs that use ONLY the chords C - D - E you are outta luck. These chords C - D - E do not fit into a useful chord progression. If you are asking for songs that use the Key of C, Key of D and the Key of E then you are asking a completely different question.

In the Key of C your 3 chord progression would be C - F - G.

In the Key of D your 3 chord progression would be D - G - A.

In the key of G your 3 chord progression would be G - C - D.

Depending upon your voice ANY song can be transposed into a KEY you can sing in.

Rethink your question and ask it correctly.

Nela

OK, i gotta ask this,   If the key of the song is based on the first chord played, as I understand it,  and you say a D progression is as ^  then what key is   D Am7 Em?  I always asumed it was a D progression and so have been trying some leed in the  D major pentatonic.  Is this still right?

I guess for chordie I am a heavy azz island to myself,,,, again LOLOLOLOL,,, but I dig all the other classics you mentioned.  Ill admit that back when Panterra was together ,, I didnt like what i was hearing. then after I heard this song,  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVMvART9kb8&ob=av2n  it was long after they broke up.  I started to dig into  them with an open mind.  I dont care for screemo, I got to know a guy can really sing.  After Dime was shot, this vid came out in his honor. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HUr9UKAxiY&ob=av3e  and it got me into BLS .

You guys ned to check out the skype jams.  look on teh general chat board,, Amy posts up times for them.  You just need the free skype account as she host on the premium.  Or you could do it amongst yourselves. big_smile I think one to one is still free.  I have yet to do it myself, gotta get webcam.  But sounds like you guys would have fun with it.

Hiya chordie, been a minute. Just a simple question from a simple man, where do you find the inspiration to keep playing?

I have asked myself this 1000's of times in the last 20 years due to frusteration, lasck of compatable playing partners, or what ever,   My first answer is:

I JUST HAVE TO PLAY NO MATTER IF PPL THINK I SUCK OR NOT. I DONT CARE WHAT THEY THINK, I PLAY FOR ME AND HOPE OTHERS LIKE IT TOO. (But it is nice when ppl do like what you do wink )

It is probably why I have never been in but 2 garage bands.  I like to play covers, but I really like to write and create. I would rather write originals by myself and anyone who wants to share in the joy of creating.

If we have to have a simple answer: Its in my soul.

It always makes me smile. heavy or soft.

Well, now you've got another new one in there!  wink

Sure, you can send me a pic and I'll see if I can get it to take if you'd like.

Yes, I bought my husband and my son each an electric from Rondo.  Great value, great service, and both gutars are still going strong a few years in.  The only issue so far was with my son's one of the dohickies that holds the strings in place came off.  He bought a package of new ones for a few bucks and replaced it and all is well. smile  OH - and they were far from being in tune when opened.  The adjustable bridge on my husband's was all straight and in line and he had to do lots of fiddling to get it where it would be in tune.  I don't know anything really about them, but I was kind of surprised that it didn't come with some sort of "proper" settings in place like most guitars (would have gotten at least that much free from a local store)... but, he had fun being forced to learn about it and fiddle.  wink

Yep I figured out what my problem was,,, I was forgetting to hit the little button at the bottom of the page sad

I was asking about Rondo cause I saw a guitar that probably is the one Kramer used for the striker that I used to have. It is only 200 bucks W/ the Floyd Rose (licenced copy but im good with that) I just take for granted that any on-line guitar will require set up and tweaking, an new strings.

Was mainly wondering about the quality of product after a few years. So thanks for that answer wink  (ok I need a cheat sheet for the smily faces.  are there any more than these two?)

Booz,

seeing as how your learning what different stuff the electric guitar can do,, take the time to watch Joes link, and a lot of stuff from PAPPA on different techniques.  Here are a few more to get you on the right track.
Oh since you like Greenday,, here are some links for them also

A friend of mine recently lent me a effects pedal he wanted to sell. I thought I'd give it a try and maybe buy it from him. It was a Digitech with all the bells and whistles. I read thru the owners manual before I ever plugged it in. I thought reading the manual would give me a heads up on how it works. I got the tuner and the effects that he last used and could not change to any other effect.  I reread the manual. Still I couldn't figure out how to operate the pedal. I called him and told him after a couple of hours this wasn't for me. He told me he had problems trying to remember how to get it all working and had bought a different one that was easier to operate.
I think it's great that those that are savvy can operate this stuff and enjoy it. But I'm like Ed and am starting to feel I belong in the Stone Age.   Joe

just for your info,,, the higher end digitechs, (well even my rp250) pulg into a computer and you can reach all the effects that way. I have a very old lap top deadicated as a guitar effect so I can easily change the stuff and store/save /. program  the effects.  doing it manually with the nobs is teidious.  My kids have rp 70 and bp80,,, still have not had to get the book out as they like what is storred in them.

(The boss or the vox boards are really cool and easy to dial in)

Hey Beamer, whats a sim card and can it be installed with a cresent wrench and a hammer?

LOLOLOL sometimes you might think so,,

ATT phones still have a little microchip card called a sim card.  its simple to get to, take off the back of phone and either slide it out of its place or open the little catch and BAM its out and ready to go to the new GO phone or gee whiz phone that ATT makes.  (You can use a hammer or screw driver to destroy the back cover whilest removing the back cover if it makes you feel better ) :-)

I'm not sure if you're working on it right now or not... but when I came to the post I saw the pic of you stretched out.... I went to your profile and looked to see what you had set as the avitar and saw a diff pic.  When I came back, viola!  There it was!  Hopefully you've got this figured out now!  wink

Only one question... since the pic HAS to be so small, I can't for the life of me make out what's IN the pic????  sad

Well it was a pic I made to go along with my quote. its a bunch of stomp boxes.   But im looking at it and its still teh distorted picture of me!  That other one I used MS Photo editor and resized it to the specified pixels and it got very small.

Can I send you a pic and see if you can get teh change to take?  OH and didnt you say you have bought some Rondo guitars?
