Mine is all about total relaxation. Doc.

At my age it was never about fame.

I dont play in front of strangers, just friends and family.

So glad im not earning my keep with it! Id blinking starve to death!

Ah but i love love love the guitar.. ten days without playing and i cannot
believe how soft the tips of my fingers are. To much handcream i guess!

Hi Docphil,
My niece who lives in the Holland plays a large concert harp. She is in her
early twenties. She has been playing since she was very young.
She also has a much smaller one.  The larger one is so cumbersome,  she maintains its  like trying to get your aged grandparents in and out of a car?

I love the sound of the her playing the harp. Also our own Chordie James,
playing Autoharp. Delightful.
Here is our beautiful Maire Brennan, singing and playing a great favourite of mine. Enjoy and float away Rockdoc.

I also love books.
Per Me ould Segosha! are you reading this? Chordie has nearly taken over my reading space! My own fault i suppose for not prioritizing.. I tend to read all kinds of books,
Just finished "Thoses Are Real Bullets Aren't They? Peter Pringle& Phillip Jacobson. About Bloody Sunday In Derry 1972.
Love Tom Sharpe, Read "Porterhouse Blue" in the early 70's. and was hooked on his quirkyness.
I just read on Hols, "Sold Into Marriage" Sean Boyne... True Story about 16 year Girl sold by her father to an elderly Farmer, for money, a Morris Minor
Car and land. in Ireland in the early 70's.  By the end of this read, i would
cheerfully have hung Father and Farmer, by the Gonads from the highest
rafter.
My bed one's at the mo, is a lovely old book i picked up in a junk shop recently.
A Fishermans Methods and Memories "Walter H Barrett. Any one here who
likes Fishing would love this. always beside my bed is my National Geographic.
My next one is Hitler's Prisioners"Eric Friedrich and Renate Vanegas.
I recently recieved the gift of "I,ooo Albums to listen to before you Die."
"Ah holy God thats a moxey lot of..{ Plenty}. No work today, so will i write, read or guitar practice. hmmmmmmm. A wee bit of everything.

Hi Jets,

WAR? I will never understand, even though i lived with it most of my life.

It Takes so much courage all round,  for the The Soldiers in the firing line.

But more so for Parents, Family, and loved ones left behind with the constant worry and pain of wishing them home safe.. I couldnt bear to live with this
feeling everyday. Día Linn  {May God protect your Son.}

You captured it all in this one.

Hi Quitarrox16,
Your first line here grabbed my attention. I notice this in doctors clinics.
Most people stare at the floor when worried or concerned while waiting?
I really would like to hear this finished.I personally was going back to when the grass was green for the next verse? But its not my song, so maybe you will?

BoneDaddy!
Apologies all round for the food you had here.. But Pub grub is just that?
Been to Wetherspoons. Yikes! Now  I love fly fishing, and fish in general!
But square fish i never seen in my whole life? That stuff is like your Kabab
S##T. Compressed waste! Id rather go hungry.
I could take you to pubs around this country, where just smoked salmon and brown bread are like royal feasts.. If you dont like fish, The best Home made Burgers and Fries { made from real spuds} Not flour and water.
Heres a wee tip for you for your next visit..
Always have your Lunch/Dinner in Hotels.. They do the best Carvery with the best selection of food. Usually between 10/12 Euro. Steer clear at nighttime
as this will prob cost nearer 50 euro. The best fish and Chips! Leo Burdocks.
Still wrapped in paper like old times. The best Thai, Best not give the name as its owned by members of my family, right in the heart of the city. This would have to be booked
as it deals mainly with the corporate world.. But they do a great lunch menu.
Guaranteed no  compressed Elephants Legs here. "Kababs"
Now Bonedaddy you just take your colon big and small and swish it in your loo a few times and flush.    Your good wife is right dont eat that stuff.
I do have Burgers Sometimes, but always feel ill after them.. I also love food
as anyone who is not blind can see.
There is one New Pub Opened in the heart of the city. It was an Old church,
I have had lunch there with my Son on different occassions. Really good food
and wont break the bank.
Email me next time your thinking of visiting, and ill point you to the right places.

The dearest meal i had in this city was, for 7 people 1,200 old pounds some years ago. Honestly! I came home and nearly ate the legs off the kitchen table
so hungry was i. But thats a whole other story..
Go out around the country, The city is just catering to the masses.

Fried Mars bars? Heart attack on a plate. Lifes to short to be putting holes in doughnuts...But you know thoses wee dunkin ones, well last time i was in the America i ate them clean out! Sinful But divine.  Colon swishing time TEhe.

Hi Daddycool,
Like the image of this.. Last week on Hols, my friends surprised me by taking me overnight to Venice..I have always wanted to have a Gondola Trip.. Well
i did, so another item off my to do list.. It was Charming, as was the gondolier,
Who swore undying love for this Old Doll.
I do believe his chat was all brought about by the biggest bribe by my friends.
But enjoyable none the less. I also sang "Arrivederci Roma" for him. The only Italian song i could think of! Well it was better then "Just one Cornetto?" TEHE.

Hi UYK,
This is  a very good topic for a song..I see these girls coming home from our local school most days in uniform.. Same lasses dressed up in the evening,
look like 20 year olds.

As for John Prine? Another guy i want to marry! Dont suppose you have his mobile number? In spite of ourselves, is only one of his many songs i love..
Now he would be the Cherry on my Cake any day.. { Dream on girl}

Good song!
