Great Show. I've seen it many times. I enjoy the jams at the end.

For me, no question it's melody.

Way to go Amy...pardon the expression but what you did takes "balls"!!!!

you should be very proud of yourself

I would invest in a bass amp. I think you'd stand a good chance of ruining that speaker running a bass through it.

Would really like to hear this one Ken. I can't quite "feel" it. I really think you're on to something here

Mediafire will allow you to use .wavs if you choose. They are slightly better although with my playing there are far bigger issues!!!!

You can plug a guitar with active pick ups in and get some sort of song. PC style mics will also work. You will find you need an interface device to have better control of your sound but to answer your questions "yes you can" and plug into your mic connection. Use your sound prpoerties in "control panel" to tweak the sound (too hot, too soft, etc.)

On long drives by myself, I grab every Little Feat cd.  Allman Bros is a good choice, too, Southpaw.  How about Derek & the Dominos.  Why not try some Canadians; Sarah MacLachlan, Loreena McKennitt, Joni, Neil, etc

Another gem...Little Feat Waiting for Columbus

Sonny Terry @ Brownie MaGhee - " People Get Ready"  is road worthy.

Dutch Mason - "Prime Minister of The Blues "    both great road music.

down that bluesy road,,,,   badeye   cool

Your picks reminded me of a classic traveling blues song....Taj Mahal Leaving Trunk. If you can resist turning up the volume on that opening harp solo; you are all stronger then me

Deep Purple...especially Highway Star... Van Halen's 1st album...good traveling stuff. For something a littel more mellow...Grateful Dead Europe 72.

Hang in there Doc. Don't sell all those beautiful guitars unless you have to. Maybe you can adapt while you're waiting to heal. So long as you can hold a pick you should be able to have fun. Learn to be a better rhythm player or learn to play lefty!!!!!! Use your time wisely, better to play a little than not at all. Come on Doc you've always had such a good outlook. You've faced far bigger medical challenges.....

Hi Geoaguiar, Yes, we unplug it when going thru the trouble shooting section. I will definately get rid of

it. Can you recommend a good one or do I just dig deeper into the wallet and the problem

solved? Thanks much for your suggestion,      Mike

This'll sound cynical but there are all kind of crappy.I've settled on using Linksys WRT54GS when we do residential jobs; they are about 60.00 US or so.....Some other good ideas in this thread about testing your laptop on someone else wireless network.

Good Luck

Hi riddler, Have had this router for a couple years. This has been an on going problem but does SEEM to
be worse. I haven't thrown it across the room........yet!  I know this is a tough question and I'm
open to your thoughts. thanks,    Mike

Have you tried restarting yuor router. Lower end 802.11 routers don't sem to last long so I'd start there...maybe it's time to repalce that.

I like cover bands but not tribute bands. I don't mind the bands that cover songs especially if they have their own style. I like to see bands that do 50% original 50% covers. And if the covers are cleverly restyled even better. IMO

Shine, David Gray. been working on this one for awhile.

Selso,
All kidding aside I would like to hear your cover of Miley Cyrus. I really dig when covers are performed across genres. I've heard a couple of Britney Spears covers that blew me away.  Post it up, I will stand with you for the ridicule!!

put it up on mediafire.com or soundclick.com. Both are free services for sharing files. Both allow password protection should you need it and are free. Soundclick is designed more for a musician so it'll stream and mediafire is better for file sharing.

Come on....What about a duet???? Easily done through the internet and some good competition for Harding/Williams!!! Seriously, your voices could be fantastic together. It could be easily mixed. MKM could re-sing her part to Wayne's timing.

MKM your playing is coming along...amazing progress. Your voice is really, really good.

How about that duet??????

Sorry Geo,

I wasn't bashing Takamine guitars, I just sold one recently and I still have one.  I kinda got off topic a little, but I have been playing alot of guitars lately and I have played a lot of solid wood guitars that have been really nice and they are affordable.

Nope...no worries. I didn't take it as a bash. I was pleasantly suprised by the preinstalled pick up is all. Very rich sounding. I never thought I would not mic an acoustic but this one doesn't need it.

I've got a Takamine G Series with a TK-4. Sounds excellent plugged in. Sounds excellent unplugged. I have others that I mike. For me the difference is suttle. For gigging I would think you'd rather not have to mic it if given the choice...just another thing to go wrong!!!

DM....you're going down the right road. I admire you dedication to self improvement as a musician. Don't let negativity or folks who don't get "it" derail you.

I can tell from your posts that you "get it"...what playing is all about. People or musicians who don't get that don't get "it" or you. In's hard to say forget 'em in the church setting but sometimes it's the appropriate response....Keep on  growing and doing what makes you smile.
