Yes, Yes, Yes!!!

As a full time working musician, and a part time guitar/voice instructor, I fully endorse the quality and value of JamPlay. As Per says, give it a try, for free. If you like 'em ,buy 'em , if you don't, don't. It's as simple as that. The least we can do is give 'em a chance, right?  The lessons are personal and help in areas where help is needed.

As Per mentioned, the money these fine folks at Jam Play spend here on Chordie are partially essential in keeping this wonderful site up and running. There are lots of folks looking for instruction for virgin guitar players. In my humble opinion, it would serve all of those who care about the continued existance of Chordie to recommend JamPlay instead of the justin whats' him name, in the future. Ya'll dig? Many people have asked how they can help to keep Chordie alive. This is a pretty good sign and an absolute solid source to answer the survival question. Those who can play, keep on keepin' on, ( until you get stuck, then call upon JamPlay) those who know others that wish to learn, refer them to JamPlay.

Mmmmmmmkay? Mmmmmmmkay.

I'm never quite sure between the bits and the bytes just how folks will understand what I post.

I'm consistently amused by the various 'understandings' of my posts...

Unh Huh

The utter brilliance of your egocentric, mental medicinal, prolifically pronounced, at times awkward semi-expeditionalistic, and oppositionally thwarted, sill, groundsel earth worm observing, meritless merit that can at times be a bit  confusing, or  perhaps easily understood while wearing yellow pants and chewing tuff taffy. But after a drink or 30 I think we all can relate. And like the aforementioned worm, I can dig it..................

Nice job Ken! That was really an amazing tune.  I for sure hear the JP influence.

Brother pal , please let me know if you're ever in my neck of the woods ( west coast Florida, Tampa area, you have my e-mail) for whatever reason. I've  got a mixer( and a sweet sounding PA) with a few channels that have your name taped on it.

Techically no amp used in this instruments, mostly pipes. According to guiness book of world records, this is the largest and loudest musical instrument ever created. ( PIPE ORGAN)

I'm really diggin' the toilet seat guitar!!!!! Talk about sittin' down & playin' a smell, I mean spell!!! sorry

Neil Youngs' Harvest Moon made me realize that the acoustic guitar has a voice of its' own. Don't get me wrong, I still love crankin' up the dbs' on the ole Strat and LesPaul but many a song starts usually with an ole acoustic guitar and this fantastic album proves it................

Headcase,

I wouldn't be overly concerned with backing tracks. Just keep doing what you're doing. It sounds as if you're pleased with your progress. But, if you've got your heart and mind set on backing tracks( or equivalent) I would look into a looping pedal. Many musicians and devout fans of music frown upon the "band in a button" approach. With the looping pedal one is able to constuct a song right before the audiences' eyes. Some loop pedals have built in, pre-recorded drum beats as well ,but they come with a seperate volume controll and can be turned off or all of the waydown( haha, this is what I like to do). Just tryin' to keep it real for live performances. Boss and DigiTech make some real nice, affordable looping pedals, give 'em a look.....

I spent most of my day today watching this hearing on-line. Very interesting. No physical evidence ties my buddy (Greg) to the scene. The blood on his bumper (which was a large part of the original prosecutions case) could not even be determined to be human blood. I missed the last part of the day's testimony and apparently that was the real shocker - someone else has apparently confessed to the murder!

Inmate confessed to woman's murder
By Sarah Ovaska, Staff writer
RALEIGH - RALEIGH -- A state prison inmate has confessed to killing the woman that Gregory Taylor was given a life sentence for murdering, a conviction that sent the Cary man to prison for the past 16 years, staff of the N.C. Innocence Inquiry Commission revealed late Thursday.

The other inmate, Craig H. Taylor, 40, who isn't related, has been imprisoned at Lumberton Correctional Institution for the past six years on a habitual felon conviction, according to state prison records. He is also a convicted drug dealer who was living in Raleigh at the time of victim Jacquetta Thomas' death, a commission staff investigator said.

During an interview with commission investigators, Craig Taylor burst into tears, asking them what would happen if he confessed to Thomas' murder.

Gregory Taylor, 47, has steadily maintained his innocence while serving the life sentence for Thomas' murder.

The revelation came near the end of the first of a two-day hearing by an eight-person panel of the commission, meeting to consider Taylor's claim that someone else stabbed and beat Thomas to death in Raleigh in the early morning hours of Sept. 26, 1991.

I've never been one of those " I'm-uh-sue-yer-arse" types but in this case I'd proudly be whistlin' a different tune.
I would joyously volunteer my services, free of charge, if at all possible, to perform at Gregory Taylors' "freedom party"!!!!

Seriously....

There are many more successful musicians who are non-self-destructive than those of which who are self-destructive. Pharmacists, doctors, lawyers, teachers, priests, preachers, etc., etc., etc........ all of these aforementioned professions breed some bad and some good eggs . Let's not paint all artists with the broad,  negative swoosh that society has done so with an uneducated, unjust, preconception thereof.....Every homosapian is totally unique, except for right-winged republicans( just joking)......

And to expand somewhat on bonedaddys' theory, Les Paul did OK without self-destructive behavior. Or  maybe he was just one tough old dude with an abnormal tolerance to the bad stuff. Who knows??.........And Cobain and Hendrix spent the majority of their final years of lives' in solitude, mostly. The interraction with others that they previously experienced were all but gone, according to most of what has been written. This is most likely( or maybe not?) the reason for the apparent swing of personalities to  their self indulgent behavior and writings that lead us( the general public) to believe this was their lifestyle.

Maybe the morphine you spoke of yesterday has had a little something to do with your restful stay in the hospital. All the best the you and your roomate. Get well soon and come back to us in great health and spirits. We have some healthy debates to resume in the near future.( haha) Seriously, all the best Zurf, get well soon.

Glad you're well and able to tell us of your scarry experience. As others have previously mentioned, stress can do some freaky stuff to the body and/or brain. Anytime you need to get something off of your chest( no pun intended) you have lots of folks here on chordie who'll lend you a friendly ear.

Speaking of Melbourne, FL; one the major homes of Ross Perots' presidential campaign of '92. I was doing a triathalon at the time of the infestation of Ross' " I'm all ears" tour. Thought the people were there to watch the triathalon but instead they were doing their " march across the bridge" to promote Perot and his cause..... If my memory serves me correct I believe these followers of Ross Perot called themselves " the Perotians".......

I'm down with it Jeff. There are some guys fro the Utah area that frequent one of my regular giggin' locales that have introduced me to this of which you speak. Not sure if they were supposed to or not but they showed me where the tracking sensor is located. Seems kinda cool, like an adult treasure hunt with radar......

Hope all is well with you and yours,

"Once" fan here too! Many times the "I'm in band" movies are way cheesey and no where near real. This movie was neither. Funny, cool, inspirational, and very real. I believe it was OLD DOLL that told me Hanspard and Irglova became a "real" dating couple after the movie. Great flick!

Looks like someone found their thesaurus........

Have just come across a song with the chord A/B... Would this be an A with a B added? Tried this but it doesn't sound right. Can someone give me the tab?
Cheers!

X22220 or 7X7655

on a piano the left hand would play the B bass note, the right hand would play an A chord.

not sure what you mean? Are you saying the bass needs to be turned up? It definatley needs a lead riff, I'm just not much of a lead player

It's weird, when I listen to it on windows media player the bass is way loud, almost to loud. When I listen on Myspace it does sound really quite. Any ideas why?

Because someone put a bug in your ear and you're listening for it specifically. No offense Russell. ( smiles here)

Nice tune Selso. I really like the mix, the bass especially. It's got sort of that fretless feel to it. And we all know that there ain't no bass like a fretless bass!!haha. Excellent effort Selso, your vocals are powerful yet not overpowering, your acoustic rhytym is crisp, clean and not overly processed, the hook is catchy, the lyrics are interesting. This is a great song and very well recorded. Be proud of this tune, it's awesome!
