Somebody's Crying - Chris Isaak
transcribed by Cliff Hicks
Here's how i think it goes...
[C] [Am] [F] [G]
---------------------------------------------------- ---------------------------------------------------- -------1-----1-------2-------0------------------ ----2------2------3-------0--------------------- -3-------0-----3---------------------------------- -------------------------3--------------------------
It won't sound exactly like the recording unless your on a twelve string
(which is how I transcribed it) so don't worry about it.

The chords are: F Dm Bb F (repeated through verse)
then:
F Bb F Bb through the chorus ("so, please...")
I think the posting from 'Albert Lozoya' showing the 'C-Am-F-C' progression
using a capo might be easier to play, but if my ears aren't deceiving me,
I hear it in 'F'. Either way, it ain't too tough!
Keep on strummin'!

There seems to be some discussion over Chris Isaak's Somebody's Crying. The way
Isaak himself plays it is F Dm Bb F in the verse and F Bb F Bb for the chorus.
That's they way he played it on live TV when over here (Australia) recently
anyway. The intro is just F Dm played slowly. The F, Dm and Bb are barre chords
while Dm is open. A bit tricky to play at first.
What I would like is the lead riff/instrumental played in the chorus. It doesn't
sound very complex (3-4 notes) but I can't seem to get it.

A good samaritan sent this to me so I'll post it:
The chords are F,Dm, Bb, and F for the first part, then,
F, Bb, F, Bb for the second part
I worked out the finger picking in the first part, see what you think:
[] &inlc; [F] [)(] [Dm] [)(] [Bb] [)(] [F] []

Drop me a line to tell me what you think or if you figure out the rest, hope you like it

And that's that...
Enjoy... :)
