Galway Girl Steve Earle
-------------------------------
[D] [D]
[D]Well, I took a stroll on the old long walk
Of a day -I-ay-I-[G]ay
[Bm]I met a little [A]girl and we [G]stopped to [D]talk
On a fine soft [A]day -I-[D]ay
And I [G]ask you, fr[D]iend, what's a f[G]ella to d[D]o
'Cause her h[Bm]air was bl[A]ack and her e[G]yes were b[D]lue
And I kn[G]ew right t[D]hen I'd be t[G]akin' a wh[D]irl
'Round the S[Bm]althill P[A]rom with a G[G]alway g[D]irl
[D] [G] [D] [Bm] [A] [G] [D] [A] [A7] [D]
[D]We were halfway there when the rain came down
Of a day -I-ay-I-[G]ay
She [Bm]asked me [A]up to her [G]flat down[D]town
On a fine soft d[A]ay -I-[D]ay
And I [G]ask you, fr[D]iend, what's a f[G]ella to [D]do
'Cause her h[Bm]air was bl[A]ack and her e[G]yes were b[D]lue
So I t[G]ook her h[D]and and I g[G]ave her a t[D]wirl
Oh and I l[Bm]ost my h[A]eart to a G[G]alway g[D]irl
[D] [G] [D] [Bm] [A] [G] [D] [A] [A7] [D]
[G] [D] [A] [Bm] [A] [G] [D] [A] [A7] [D]
[D]When I woke up I was all alone [G]
With a br[Bm]oken h[A]eart and a t[G]icket h[D]ome [A] [D]
And I [G]ask you n[D]ow, tell me w[G]hat would you [D]do
If her h[Bm]air was bl[A]ack and her [G]eyes were b[D]lue
'Cause I've t[G]raveled aro[D]und I've been all o[G]ver this w[D]orld
Boys I ain't n[Bm]ever seen n[A]othin' like a G[G]alway g[D]irl
[D] [G] [D] [Bm] [A] [G] [D] [A] [A7] [D]
[D] [G] [D] [Bm] [A] [G] [D] [A] [A7] [D]
[G] [D] [A] [Bm] [A] [G] [D] [A] [A7] [D]

I've changed the 'A' to Bm for 'hair' and 'Salthill' and I think it gives it a little more...try and see what ye think.
