Dials Tommy Reilly
You can figure out the strumming pattern from this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a2C5jDAzhp4
(If you want the slightly more advanced way of playing it then look at the bottom
of the page..)
Intro
e|--0--0--0--2--| B|--0--0--0--3--| D|--2--1--0--2--| G|--2--2--4--0--| A|--0--2--4--0--| E|--0--0--2--0--|
I'll call the first one A, the 2nd E, the 3rd F#m and the 4th D.
Twist the [A]dials, see I didn't know this could [E]go this loud
I roll my [F#m]window down and let the air go roun[D]d
Nothing happened real[A]ly
No not [E]much at all
But for some [F#m]reason I, I feel quite t[D]all
We only sat on a [A]couch
Pretty close [E]to be fair
Yeah we did [F#m]kiss a bit but it ended ther[D]e
From that leather cou[A]ch in someone e[E]lse's house
I take the [F#m]clarity and leave it ou[D]t
[D] [E] I hope this was the [F#m]star[D]t
But maybe there's [A]more
Would it mark the[F#m] start
[D]Please say[E] I haven't taken too [F#m]long, have [D]I?
To sort my [A]head out
To mark the [F#m]star[D]t of this night
[A] [E] [F#m] [D]
( Tab from: http://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/t/tommy_reilly/dials_crd.html )
[D] [E] I hope this was the [F#m]star[D]t
But maybe there's [A]more
Would it mark the[F#m] start
[D]Please say[E] I haven't taken too [F#m]long, have [D]I?
To sort my [A]head out
To mark the [F#m]star[D]t of this night
[A] [E] [F#m] [D]
[A] We're pretty close to be [E]fair
But for some [F#m]reason I, I feel quite tal[D]l
We only sat on a [A]couch
Pretty close [E]to be fair
Yeah we did kiss a [F#m]bit but it ended ther[D]e
I've covered the basic chords here.. if you want to go for the slightly more
advanced way of playing it (which does sound better and it's closer to the way
tommy plays it) then try these chords:
Intro / Verse
(in the intro the first set (3 chords) listed below is the equivalent to playing
A, E and F#m in the basic chords and then the second set listed (7 chords) is
played instead of the D chord).
If you can't play the 2nd set fast enough then you could just play the
0/9/11/11/0/0 and it would sound OK.
e|--0---0---0--| e|--0---0--0---0---0---0--0---| B|--0---0---0--| B|--0---0--0---0---0---0--0---| D|--0---0---0--| D|--11--8--10--11--10--8--10--| G|--11--11--8--| G|--11--8--10--11--10--8--10--| A|--11--11--8--| A|--9---6--8---9---8---6--8---| E|--9---8---6--| E|--0---0--0---0---0---0--0---|
Chorus
(I hope this was the start...)
e|--0---0---0--| e|--0---0---0---| B|--0---0---0--| B|--0---0---0---| D|--11--0---0--| D|--11--0---0---| G|--11--11--8--| G|--11--11--8---| A|--9---11--8--| A|--9---11--8---| E|--0---8---6--| E|--0---9---6---|
(If you're having a go at this version I'm sure you can figure out when to play
the chords for the rest of the song!)
Thanks, hope you enjoyed this tab :).
