Bethlehem Theocracy
I used Chords.fm to find the chords for this song and then used my ear to fine tune it a
little bit. This is my first submission of chords. It might be slightly off, but as
far as I know it's the first chord chart for this song. If I were you I wouldn't worry
too much about learning the no-capo version of the song, because it still sounds great
playing the capo'd chords with no capo. If you want to play along, though, you know how
it goes.
Oh, and the line where he sings "To save us from the fall" I don't have any chords
listed because I couldn't figure them out. I just play the previous chord again in rhythm
and it sounds just fine. If you know what chords are being played, let me know and I'll
fix it!
Have fun! And merry Christmas!

[Dm]All my life, I've waited and watched
through the eyes of faith
[Dm]To see the consolation of [F]Is[C]ra[Dm]el
[Dm]And even though the flame of my life
is now growing dim
[Dm]I know I'll see the Savior of [F]Is[C]ra[Dm]el
[F]For the Spirit of the Lord has [C]promised unto me
[F]That I would not see death
before my [C]eyes have seen [Dm]Him
[F]The promise is alive, for [C]through this little child
[F]God's holy light illuminates Jeru[C]sal[Dm]em
[Dm]This child will cause the falling
and rising of many souls
[Dm]A sign for all the people of [F]Is[C]ra[Dm]el
[Dm]This child will be the way and the life unto every soul
[Dm]To every generation shall the [F]Gen[C]tiles [Dm]tell
[F]For the way has been prepared
[C]in the sight of every man
[F]The Son of God Himself is born in Beth[C]le[Dm]hem
[F]A sacrifice is made in [C]the temple on this day
[F]Redemption reaches far beyond Jeru[C]sa[Dm]lem
[Dm]O B[F]ethlehem, your [C]star burns bright to[Dm]night
For my [Bb]eyes have seen the g[Am]lory of sa[Bb]lvation's holy l[C]ight
Has this [F]little child come [C]to redeem us [Dm]all?
To save us from the fall
[Bb]Redemption [Am]is in [Bb]sight
[Bb]Behold, the [C]Son shines [Bb]bright
Under [C]Bethlehem's s[Dm]tar tonight

(This stuff is sung over the chorus at the end, with the chords from the last chorus)
When all the world was sleeping deep in darkness
A child in Bethlehem fulfilled the promise
The ancients prophesied a great deliverer
The one to break the curse of sin forever
He didn't come with any worldly fanfare
No royal treatment, just a dark cross to bear
In Bethlehem a brand new dawn is rising
A star to guide the way, forever shining
New hope was born for all creation that night
For though the darkness came the brightest light
