Bad, Bad Leroy Brown  Jim Croce

After searching for this tab myself before, I found that 1 person had it down
pretty well, but the only flaw was that he failed to mention that whenever he
plays the G, and A7 chords, he does a shuffle. So, you have to play barre chords.
When he plays the G, you switch your fingers down a string to a C barre chord in a
shuffle rhythm, and when he plays the A7, you switch your fingers down to a D
barre chord in a shuffle rhythm. So it will be G G C C G G C C, etc.
Verse 1
Well, th[G]e south side of Chicago
is the b[A7]addest part of town.
And if you [B7]go down there
you better j[C]ust beware of a [D]man named Leroy B[G]rown.
Now, Ler[G]oy more than trouble,
you see [A7]he stand about six foot four,
all the [B7]downtown ladies call him tr[C]eetop lover,
all the m[D]en just call him s[G]ir.
Chorus G
And he's bad, bad, Leroy Brown,
the [A7]baddest man in the whole damn town.
[B7]Badder than ol' King Kon[C]g,
[D]meaner than a junk yard [C]dog.
Verse 2
Now, Ler[G]oy, he a gambler,
and he l[A7]ikes his fancy clothes.
And he l[B7]ikes to wave his d[C]iamond rings
in front of ever[D]ybody's nos[G]e.
He got a [G]custom Continental
He got an [A7]El Dorado too.
He got a .[B7]32 gun and a po[C]cket full o' fun
He got a r[D]azor in his sh[G]oe.
Chorus G
And he's bad, bad, Leroy Brown,
the [A7]baddest man in the whole damn town.
[B7]Badder than ol' King Kon[C]g,
[D]meaner than a junk yard d[C]og.
Verse 3
Well, [G]Friday about a week ago
Leroy's [A7]shootin dice.
And at the [B7]edge of the bar sat a g[C]irl named Doris
and o[D]h, that girl look n[G]ice
Well, [G]he cast his eyes upon her
and th[A7]e trouble soon began.
And Le[B7]roy Brown, he learned a les[C]son about messin
with the w[D]ife of a j[G]ealous man.
Chorus G
And he's bad, bad, Leroy Brown,
the [A7]baddest man in the whole damn town.
[B7]Badder than ol' King Kon[C]g,
[D]meaner than a junk yard d[C]og.
Verse 4
Well, [G]the two men took to fightin
And when they [A7]pulled them form the floor,
[B7]Leroy looked like ji[C]gsaw puzzle
with a [D]couple a pieces [G]gone.
Chorus G
And he's bad, bad, Leroy Brown,
the [A7]baddest man in the whole damn town.
[B7]Badder than ol' King Kon[C]g,
[D]meaner than a junk yard d[C]og.
Outro
Yes, you were badder than old King Kong
And meaner than a junkyard dog.
