Walk Me Down the Middle The Band Perry
So, this is not my first tab, and I am not a beginner guitar player, but there are
some spots in this song that gave me a little bit of trouble. For example, in the
second line of every chorus, the melody drops a bit on the last word, which can be
played by either an F or an Fm barre chord. Use your discretion on which one sounds better.
Also, where I have placed the G-G/F#-Em walkdown, it is optional for you to play
the G/F# chord, but Em is the correct chord to end up on. If you do not know how
to play this walkdown, I will illustrate it for you.
Start with a G chord like this:
E|-----|-----|--4--| B|-----|-----|--3--| G|-----|-----|-----| D|-----|-----|-----| A|-----|--1--|-----| E|-----|-----|--2--|
Strum once, and play this:
E|-----|-----|--4--| B|-----|-----|--3--| G|-----|-----|-----| D|-----|-----|-----| A|--x--|--x--|--x--| (mute this string by lowering your first finger E|-----|--1--|-----| slightly onto the string)
Strum once, and play a normal Em chord.
That is a G-G/F#-Em walkdown.
