You Could Be Happy  Snow Patrol

You Could Be Happy by Snow Patrol
This is my first attempt ever at actually writing a chord chart so go easy on me.
This song is actually played with a keyboard or xylophone, but you can pluck it or
strum it however you feel comfortable. If you want to play in key with the
actual song, use a Capo on III. I like to play the G on the 1st and 3rd verses like this:
e--3---|
B--3---|
G--4---|

 D------|
 A------|
 E------|

And on the 2nd and 4th verse as a 6 string bar chord, naturally progressing from
the F#m bar chord.
Intro: D Dmaj7 G
You could be [D]happy and I[Dmaj7] won?t kno[G]w
But you weren?t happy the da[D]y I [Dmaj7]watched you [G]go
And all the things that I [D]wish I [Dmaj7]had not [G]said
All played in lips til it?s [D]madness [Dmaj7]in my hea[G]d
Is it too late to re[Em]mind you of [F#m]how we we[G]re?
And not our last days of [Em]silence, [F#m]scream, and [G]blur?
Most of what I r[Em]emember, [F#m]makes me [G]sure
I should have stopped you from [Em]walking [F#m]out the do[G]or
You could be ha[D]ppy, I [Dmaj7]hope you [G]are
You made me happier than [D]I?ve be[Dmaj7]en by [G]far
Somehow everything I [D]own, s[Dmaj7]mells of y[G]ou
And for the tiniest m[D]oment, it?s [Dmaj7]all not [G]true
Do the things that you [Em]always w[F#m]anted [G]to
Without me there to hold you [Em]back, don?t[F#m] think just[G] do
More than anything I w[Em]ant to [F#m]see you [G]go
Take a glorious bi[Em]te out of [F#m]the whole w[G]orld
D Dmaj7 G ? fade to black?.
