Everyday Slade
This is my first time submitting a song, and probably about the 4th time transcribing a song.
It's a pretty easy song to play and there are a few ways you can go about it.
It's in E minor and the chords used are as follows:
[Em] [D] [C] [C7] [B] [A] [G]
e|------------------------------------------------------| B|------------------------------------------------------| G|--------------------------9---------------------------| D|--9-----7-----3-----------8------4--------------------| A|--7-----5-----5-or-10-----10-----2-or-9------7-----5--| E|--------------------8-----8-----------7------5-----3--|
As you can see there are a few ways you can play these chords.
You can even use open chords if you like, but this is how I play the song.
Sometimes switching it up a bit.
Do whatever works best for you.
This is how I play the intro, listen to the song for timing:
[Em] [/] [/] [/] [D] [/] [/] [/] [C] [B] [A] ^[G] H[/]er[/]e you can quickly slide the chord up to B to try
and replicate that little thing they do on the piano.
Rest of the song:
Verse 1
[G]Everyday when I[D]'m away
I'm [Em]thinking [D]of [C]you
G D The D chord on every second line
Everyone can carry on doesn't seem to be played in the
Em D C next verse.
Except for we two
[C7]And you know that o[G]ur love
[C7]And you know that [G]I
[C7]And you know that o[G]ur love won't [D]die
CHORUS.....
Em D Chorus is just like the intro
And it won't even show
And [C]no-o[B]ne [D]will [G]know
[Em]One little [D]wave
To sa[C]y you'll be[G]have
It [Em]won't even [D]show
How [C]far [B]love [A]can [G]go
Verse 2......
[G]Everyday when [D]I'm away
And [Em]there's been a [C]few
[G]Every land I [D]need a hand
To [Em]help me come [C]through
[C7]And you know that [G]our love
[C7]And you know that [G]I
[C7]And you know that [G]our love won't [D]die
I'm sure you can work out the rest from here.
