Portland Is Leaving  Rocky Votolato

blahblahblah
[A] Come along with me [C#m]now 'cause there are
[D]Things I've been dying to [A]tell you
[A]The best or the [E]worst things that you
[Bm]Never needed to [A]know
[A]This is the kind of [C#m]comedy where no one's
[D]Laughing 'cause it's [A]hard to...
[A]I'm a punch line who's [E]punch-drunk with my
[Bm]Fist in a broken [D]mirror...
There's a [A]party near by
[E] I can [Bm]hear
[A]Laughter in the [E]distance and it [Bm]all comes [D]clear
[A]Sounds too simple,[E] but love is the [Bm]only ans[Dm]wer
[C#m]Everything else is[Bm] just a train-wreck
[A] [C#m] [D] [A]
[A] [E] [Bm] [A]
[A]Gonna stay up [C#m]all night every [D]night for the rest of [A]my life
[A]Till the lines around [E]my eyes grow [Bm]deeper and more de[A]fined
[A]You might ask me "Aren't [C#m]you dead inside and [D]so damn [A]tired?"
[A]I say i have no i[E]dea but I'm not [Bm]sleeping until [D]after the
dy[A]ing is over[E] I can [Bm]hear
[A]Laughter in the [E]distance and it [Bm]all comes [D]clear
[A]Sounds too simple,[E] but love is the [Bm]only ans[Dm]wer
[C#m]Love's a trainwreck, [Bm]you're a mistake
[A] [C#m] [D] [A]
[A] [E] [Bm] [A]
[A] [C#m] [D] [A]
[A] [E] [Bm] [Bm]
[Dm] [Dm] [C#m] [Bm]
[A]
Sometimes it's more convenient to play the barre chord than the open chord.
Also, at the end of the lines in the verses, he likes to play the C# (note, not chord)
the A chord (second fret on the b string if you're playing an open A chord or sixth fret
the g string if you're playing the barre chord.
If this doesn't make sense, disregard it.
