Mississippi Pussycat

-----------------------------------------------------------------
W[Bb]here you can hear a country song from far
and someone plays the honky-tonk guit[F]ar
Where all the lights will go out one by [Bb]one
the people join the s[C]un
and the w[C7]ind takes it aw[F]ay
Where the M[Bb]ississippi rolls down to the sea
and lovers found the place they'd like to b[F]e
how many times before the song was en[Bb]ding
love and underst[F]anding
everywhere ar[Bb]ound
M[Bb]iii....iiii ... ssiss[F]ippi,
I'll remember yo[Bb]u, whenever I should go away
I[F]'ll be longing for the day
that [C]I will be in Greenville ag[F]ain [D#]...[Dm] [C]
M[Bb]iii....iiii ... ssiss[F]ippi,
you'll be on my m[Bb]ind
[D#]... everytime I hear this s[Bb]ong
Mississippi roll al[F]ong
until the end of t[Bb]ime
[D#] [B] [F]
N[B]ow the country song for ever lost its soul
when the guitar player turned to rock & roll
and everytime when summernights are falling
I will always be calling dreams of yesterday

In the chorus it's not: "... be in dreams again" but "... that I will be in Greenville again."
It's Greenville, Mississippi, about 300 miles north of New Orleans.
