If you need to know exactly, this song is from their LP Seens
(BEGIN TAB)
I've really been missing some tab for this awesome song, so
I just went ahead and did it myself. Here you go people, enjoy!
I chose intermediate as difficulty because of the speedy folk
strumming pattern. Took me a while to get used to.
Other than that the song is actually really easy to play.
Capo 4 (Standard tuning)

Intro: G Dsus2 G Dsus2 G Dsus2 G
[G] I spent the last few years really struggling ye[Dsus2]ah
From fighting urges and just screaming through
All the [C]friendships and the fuckups
And the [Em]nights that [G]got away[C] from us
[G] So I lined up a bottle for each question as[Dsus2]ked
I closed a chapter on a city that contained most
And [C]landed in some outer borough
Where I [Em]picked up the [G]keys from your [C]neighbor next door
[G] You may have been bounced around yourself now once or tw[Dsus2]ice
You may have mentioned it when we were passing in the night
But [C]oh! I remind you of a place you come from
I said, you [Em]probably [G]should take more [C]pride in that
Fill: | C Cadd9 C Cmaj7 |
[Fmaj7] And I see how[C] we drifted apart
[Fmaj7] I'm only comfortable looking [C]at you when I tal[Fmaj7]k
You've been a good friend, [C] darling
But just [G]not a lover[C] yet
[G] So we spent the best years painting pictures o[Dsus2]f
The adults we knew or the adults that we were running from
But [C]oh, the things I could've said to you then
If I'd the [Em]man speaking [G]for the boy I[C] was back then
[G] Those were last words I said when I was 17
[Dsus2]I look at you now and I think,
Oh my God, I'm ab[C]out as together and with it
and clever as I [Em]ever [G]was back[C] then
Fill: | C Cadd9 C Cmaj7 |
But I see how we drifted apart
I'm only comfortable looking at you when I talk
You've been a good friend, darling
But just not a lover yet
But [Fmaj7]old---- [Em]bones [C]hold in place these[Fmaj7] dates
Old---- [Em]bones [C]carry me where I [Fmaj7]am
End: | Fmaj7 C6sus2 C Csus2 | C |
