The G/C sounds better in this song than just C. If you make
your G with your pinkie,
ring and middle fingers, you can easily change to G/C by
fretting your index finger
on the 2nd string/1st fret, and then moving your middle
finger from the 5th string
to the 4th string/2nd fret. Your ring finger will muff the
5th string.
If you don't want to fool with the G/C, you can use C.
Fingerstyle:
Just hold the chord shown and pluck the stings by number.
The strings are numbered
1 to 6. String 1 is the high E string. It is the thinnest
string, on the bottom
as you hold the guitar. Strings count up from there, 2 3 4
5 ... The 6th string
is the low (deepest sound) E string. It is the thickest
string, on the top as you
hold the guitar. You will have to figure out which fingers
you like to use for
each string. I tend to use my ring finger for the 1st sting,
middle finger for the 2nd,
index finger for 3rd string, and my thumb for the 4th, 5th
and 6th strings.
