A heart on the run keeps a hand on the gun you can't trust anyone

But I made it through, cause somebody knew I was meant for someone
(So) [D]Girl, leave your boots by the [G]bed we ain't leaving this [D]room
Till [D]someone needs medical [G]help or the magnolias b[D]loom
It's [Em]cold in this house and I [G]ain't going out to chop [Bm]wood

But I sobered up and I swore off that stuff forever, this time
And the old[(C#/Db)] lovers [Bm]sing, "I thought it'd be [G]me who helped him get h[D]ome"
D* G D
But home was a dream, one I'd never seen till you came along
(So) gi[D]rl, hang your dress up to d[G]ry we ain't leaving this r[D]oom
Till P[D]ercy Priest breaks open wi[G]de and the river runs th[D]rough
(And) [Em]carries this house on the [G]stones like a piece of drif[Bm]twood
D* G D
Cover me up and know you're enough to use me for good

G[D]irl, leave your boots by the b[G]ed we ain't leaving this r[D]oom
Till [D]someone needs medical [G]help or the magnolias b[D]loom
It's [Em]cold in this house and I [G]ain't going out to chop [Bm]wood

Cover me up and know you're enough to use me for good
Intro riff
[D]
How I play it:
The intro riff I play while fretting a "D" chord and using my pinky and index finger to
play the hammer on.
The (C#/Db) chord is basically just the "A" string at the 4th fret added to the "D"
chord. It's not strummed, just play the bass note.
Chords used:
D - 000232
Em - 222000
G - 550030
Bm - x24432
D* = D chord riff, follows vocal melody
(C#/Db) = x4x232
