Getting Old hellogoodbye
The intro is played on ukelele but this way sounds decent on guitar. And I
tried to put in the count for the strumming pattern; I hope it's right but
I haven't done that in years so please correct me if it's not. Also, the
second half of the verses has a distinct rhythm so listen to the song for
it. Enjoy!

Verse:
[A]When we were younger [F#m]time was under [D]careful lock and [A]key.
[A]Now it's open, [F#m]tipped and pourin' [D]out all over [A]me.
Oh [F#m]what a sham[C#m]e! that our days, [Bm]you exclaimed, I thought [F#m]you had meant t[C#m]hey were long.[Bm]
Not '[F#m]till the nigh[C#m]t when I turned [Bm]25, I saw [F#m]that I had [C#m]it all [A]wrong.
(Between the two verses you can play half the intro or just keep playing an A chord)
Verse:
[A]I was gettin' [F#m]tired of lettin' [D]all my hours [A]pass.
[A]Hopin' someday [F#m]soon or some way [D]everything would [A]last.
Oh [F#m]What a sham[C#m]e! When I look [Bm]at your frame, I know [F#m]someday it [C#m]will be dust[Bm].
Not [F#m]that I thought [C#m]it's that close, '[Bm]cause it's not, but I [F#m]guess it's just [C#m]creepin' [A]up.
(Between the verse and chorus you can play the full intro or A chords)
Chorus:
[A]Oh and it's not that [D]bad,[A] it's all this time we've [E]had.
[C#m]Things that could be,[D] became history.[A] We'll never know ins[E]tead.
[A]Oh we're not too far [D]gone.[A] It hasn't been that [E]long.
[C#m]Oh and our tea cup[D] is getting filled up.
A E A(x4)
So we'll never have to dread getting old.
