Hunstanton Pier Deaf Havana
Hey guys, this is my first tab and I made it because I tried to use other chord
versions but they just didn't sound quite right... so I made my own :)The capo on
the 7th sounds closest to the original although some tabs say the 6th is right, it
isnt. Anyway, enjoy!

Capo on 7th
[G]It was 2004 if I'm not mis[C]taken, when the poison hit my[Em] lips
And I hav[D]en't looked back [C]since
[G]I had friends back then and a PMA to mat[C]ch,
we were young and out of [Em]touch with the [D]things we'd grow up to hate s[C]o much,
in tim[G]e.
G, C, G, C
B[G]ack when my hair was long and Phil was still [C]alive
We spent our days trying to [Em]speak, to the g[D]irls that left us [C]weak
[G]But now I'm ageing badly and my friends' been laid to [C]rest
And the ones who let us [Em]in are pushing p[D]rams or raising[C] twins.
To [D]tell you the truth I'd be [Em]lying if I said[D] I didn't hate the [C]city
I [D]need the pier and the [Em]fresh sea a[D]ir of the tow[C]n that made me.
Em, D (Tricky timing here, listen to the song to get it right)
[C]In my [G]heart and in my [D]soul are all the [Em]people [D]that I've known[C]
[C]And the p[G]laces I?ve cal[D]led home
[C]But in my [G]head and in my [D]mind they're all just [Em]things I [D]left behind[C]
[C]Reminders [G]of the changing [D]times, and these ageing bones of mine.
G, C, G, C
[G]Lee and me were schooled in a tourist [C]town
With less culture than Jeremy [Em]Kyle
But it [D]stole our hearts for a [C]while
And [G]most weekends I found nothing but regr[C]et
Between many a drunk g[Em]irls' legs
And in [D]many a strangers' [C]bed.
To [D]tell you the truth I'd be [Em]lying if I said[D] I didn't hate the [C]city
I [D]need the pier and the [Em]fresh sea a[D]ir of the tow[C]n that made me.
[Em] Who [D]I am.
Em, C, Em, C
[Em]The one?s who haven?t died or started [C]families
Are all just working [G]building sites or battling with [D]university fees
And a [Em]girl I used to know made me [C]promise once
I wonder if she [Am]kept it,[G] [F]
C, G, D
or [Em]if she [D]even rem[C]embers i[G]t. [D]
C, G, D, Em, D, C
C, G, D
