REQUIRES CAPO
Capo On 2nd Fret
Bombay Bicycle Club is straight up my favourite band. After hearing Emergency
Contraception Blues for the first
time, I was hooked in, and continued to listen to each track on each of their albums.
This song has become a legacy for Bombay Bicycle Club, this 1:26 wonder is the song that
die-hard fans dream of hearing live. If they begin to play The Giantess live, be
prepared for the epic Emergency Contraception Blues finale. Moving on - I've seen the
two other
tabs for this track on here, and I'm afraid they're incorrect. So, without further ado
and some long and hard listening to the track, I present you with the correct tabs, for
Emergency Contraception Blues. Enjoy!
(Capo On 2nd Fret)
/ = Slide, or Hammer on. (In the track they slide, but hammer-ons works just as well.)
e |------------------------0---00000000---0---------------------------------------------| B |----5/7/5/3-3---0---7---0---00112233---3---------------------------------------------| F#|----0---0---0---0---0---0---00000000---0---------------------------------------------| D |----0---0---0---0---0---0---00000000---0---------------------------------------------| A |----0---0---0---0---9---2---22222220---0---------------------------------------------| D |----0---0---0---0---9---2---22222220---0---------------------------------------------|
Repeat this riff throughout. Listen to the track for strumming pattern and rhythm. Start
off in cleans, then switch to distortion when the drums kick in - (listen to the track
for this).
Lead Guitar - (Played with what I believe is a delay pedal)
Capo 2nd Fret - (Note: this part is not normally played live by either of the
guitarists, the sound engineer normally plays this part pre-recorded. You can play it if
you want
to, though.)
