I wrote this out for a double guitar duet, I've played it like this and it
sounds gorgeous. When I write down for example: Em7/Em I'm saying that the
1st guitar plays Em7 and the 2nd plays Em. I've added a couple things
personally that I thought sounded better like a longer intro and an outro.
Just play around with it and see how you like, ok? God Bless!!!
1st guitar starts out with this intro: D, Asus, D, Asus
Then they play these 2 intros at the same time:
1st guitar: D, A2, Em, G+
2nd guitar: Bm, Asus, Em7, G (both repeat)
BRIDGE
[D]Single minded, whole hearted[Asus4]
[Em7/D]One thing I ask (rep[Asus4]eat)
CHORUS
[Em7/Em]That I may[G/G+] gaze upon Your be[Bm/D]auty, Oh [A/Asus4]Lord
[Em7/Em]That I may [G/G+]seek You[Bm/D]r holy[A/Asus4] face
[Em7/Em]That I may[G/G+] know You in an [Bm/D]intimat[A/Asus4]e way
[D/Bm]And follow after[Asus/A] You all of my[Em7/Em] days
[D/Bm]And follow after[Asus/A] You all of my[Em7/Em] days
(repeat bridge and chorus)
(both play this part before the finishing line: Asus, Em7, Asus, Em7)
FINISHING LINE
All of l[D]ife comes down to just one t[Asus]hing
And that's to know You, oh J[Em7]esus
And make You kn[G+]own (sing 4 times)
(Both hold G+ after 4th time through finishing line and let fade out)
(then 2nd guitar picks through outro)
OUTRO: D, Asus, Em7, G+, Asus, Em7, G+, Asus, D
Hope you enjoy playing this song and make sure you print it out and get
2gether with another guitar player and check out how the double guitar
duet sounds ok?See ya, have fun, God Bless!!
