During the "Salvation Spring up from the ground", the second time on,
it is the power chord of E on the E string. It's held during the first
four lines. The other instruments play the E - A2 thing still.
At the beginning of "Let all the prodigals run home" the guitar slides
from the power chord of D to the power chord of E on the A string. I
believe this, too, is held for the four lines.
