Francis uses a normal standard tuning (E A D G B E) while Rick uses
an open G-tuning (D G D G B D) plus a capo on the second position
which makes it an open A-tuning (E A E A C# E). Drop your low E
two half steps lower to D. You can use your D-string (which is an
octave higher) to bring the string to the right pitch. Do the same
with your A-string. Drop the A-string two half steps to G and use the
G-string now to bring the string to the right pitch. The high
e-string has also to be dropped to d. Use again your D-string (an
octave lower now) to tune the high e-string to d. Now place a capo
(if you have one) on the second position. After you've placed the
capo you're guitar can be slightly out of tune again, so maybe you
have to adjust the tuning a bit.

I'm not quite sure about how the mainriff is being played by Francis.
I had many possible solutions but I've finally written this one down.
But I'm talking about small details here, the base covers his playing.
For instance I'm not sure if he's playing the full A-chord. You can't
