Palomino Duran Duran
I haen't seen any attempts to figure this one out, so I figured I'd give it a stab.
is one of my favorites off one of my favorite Duran albums, Big Thing. I don't think I've
seen such odd chords/key changes before, but here goes!!
Intro: Hold the note Bb - it interchanges between Bb and G#. (low E string 6th fret and
E string 4 fret) The whole beginning part is basically single notes rather than chords
written that way. The chords are tough to pick out, (they are probably Bb and G# but
are too hard to hear!)
[Bb]She lays on the wall
watching the strangers drift away
mid-day's o[Bb]re--th[G#]ick
with the sun of Arabia
she s[Bb]urrenders her v[G#]oices
[Bb]they gather, on the wind
talkin, chanting, breathing
into her body...[C#-F-Bb-C#]yesterday
F - C# - (C#-D# - E - F#) (walkup)
Awakened [Bb]beside
[G#]the scent of burnt [Bb]sugar--on the skin
painting eyes[G#]--thick
[Bb]with the color she brings in
[Bb]oh, and sure and strong
when the lightning tumbles down
don't you frown
everything will be
in time for this evening
(Start Chords)

(D# - E - F#) walkup
and you'll know...
[E]why she s[G#7]ays
[E]when I run out of [B]blue
help me r[E]ise inste[G#7]ad
[E]then I will run to [B]you
[E]why she s[G#7]ays
[E]when I run out of [B]blue
give me r[E]ed inste[G#]ad
[C#]now let me run... (let me run)
[C#]if there's s[Fm]ecrets
she has to be [Bb]party to
every o[C#]ne of them
[Fm]if there's [Bb]heaven
she gets to the h[C#]eart
[D#]and y[E]ou'll k[F#]now...
[E]why she [G#7]says
[E]when I run out of b[B]lue
help me [E]rise inst[G#7]ead
[E]then I will run to y[B]ou
[E]why she s[G#7]ays
[E]when I run out of b[B]lue
give me [E]rain inste[B]ad
[C#]now let me run... (let me run)
Hey-hey....
[E]why she s[G#7]ays
[E]when I run out of [B]blue
