Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone) Chris Tomlin
I came back to this tab after a couple good years of experience and updated it a
little. It all should be in the right key now. To be in the key Chris sings it in,
you capo the 5 on this one, but I am far from his vocal range, so I do it at about
capo 2. Sorry about the confusion. If you don't have a capo, you can use the
"Transpose" thing at the top to get it in your key. God Bless.
Capo 5 (recorded version)

Verse 1:
[D]Amazing [D/F#]grace how [G]sweet the [D]sound
That [D]saved a wretch like [A]me

Was [D]blind but [A]now I [D]see
(Verse 2)
Chorus:
My chains are [G]gone, I've been set [D/F#]free.
My God, [G]My Savior has ransomed [D/F#]me.
And like a [G]flood his mercy[D/F#] reigns.
Unending [Em]love,[A] amazing [D/F#]grace
(Verse 3)
(Chorus) x 2
(Verse 4)
Verse 2:
â??Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believed!
Verse 3:
The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.
Verse 4:
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who callâ??d me here below,
Will be forever mine.
(Will be forever mine)
(You are forever mine)
