Verse 1
It's just the rhythm guitar in the verse except for a few lead fills
which I'll tab when we get to them:
[A]Hey,[Dsus2/A] Country boy[A],[Dsus2/A]
[A]Hey,[Dsus2/A] Country boy[A],[Dsus2/A]
What are you [A]sad about, [Dsus2/A]every day you make the [A]sun come out,
[F#m]Even in the [E]pouring rain,
I'll come to see [D]you, And I'll save you, I'll [C5]save you.

Bridge
How [Bm]many eyes must a young girl have?
I know she[E] makes you cry, I know she makes you laugh,
I'd be [F#]good to you, if I could I'd make you happy,
[G]If I had a son I'd be good to my Daddy,
Who [Bm]loves you but I bet it's not the same
as [E]your, [G]North Country Boy.

Verse 2
[A]Hey,[Dsus2/A] Country [A]Boy,[Dsus2/A]
What're you [A]sad about, [Dsus2/A]I think we'll work[A] it out,
[F#m]Even in the [E]morning rain, I'll come to see [D]you,
[D]Hope your feelings're the [C5]same. (Repeat Fill 2)
Bridge
How [Bm]many ears must a young girl have?
I know she[E] hears you cry, I know she makes you laugh,
[F#]Itchy and Scratchy come runnin' up the alley,
[G]If you'd be good, I'd be good to your Daddy,
Who [Bm]loves you but I bet it's not the same
as [E]your, [G]North Country Boy.
Instrumental
Play the intro riff again. There's a harmonic pumping out behind it
this time. This can be found by lightly touching the 3rd (G) string
directly above the 5th fret - don't press down, but play the string
and it should ring. It may need a bit of distortion to bring it out.
Then the guitar solo starts. I think it's played with a slide, but
if you don't have one or an empty pint-glass to hand, it sounds
alright by just fretting the notes with your fingers and add plenty
of vibrato.

Over the last 3 bars of the solo a louder, more prominent overdub
is played. It goes a little something like this:
E|-------------------|-------------------|---------------------| B|-------------------|-------------------|---------------------| G|-------------------|-------------------|---------------------| D|-------------------|-------------------|------7-7-9p7---7----| A|--7h9p7------------|--7h9p7------------|--7h9---------9------| E|--------7h9-7-5-5--|--------7h9-7-5-5--|-------------------8-|
Verse 3
[A]What do you care ab[Dsus2/A]out? She says, '[A]this and that[Dsus2/A],'
What do I [A]mean to you? [Dsus2/A]I'll show you if you [A]want the truth.
[F#m]I threw it all a[E]way, I don't know where I p[D]ut it,
[D]But I miss it just the s[C5]ame. (Repeat Fill Ad Lib)
Outro
A weird chord starts playing, I think it's C#7b5 but you play it
like this:
E|--7--| This is played a few times with that
B|--8--| Fret five harmonic repeating.
G|--6--| Finally the original intro riff comes
D|-----| back in, plus ad lib vocals and
A|-----| the song fades out.
E|-----|
